I wonder how Sentai is going to react to Funi piggybacking off of their show.

Sigh--I wish these license announcements happen before I get the UK blu-rays, and as hopeless as I am, I'm bound to pick up Funimation's release of Parasyte regardless, especially if they dub it and thus I can show it to people I know.

I honestly don't think Sentai is going to be upset at all because I am not sure they were interested in licensing these live action movies in the first place. To me this is Funimation trying to make some money from the fans of the anime.
I am a big fan of the anime, but I have zero interest in even watching these movies.

Either way, if FUNi plans on dubbing it, Brittney Karbowski is definitely going to reprise her role as Migi.

The Parasyte movies sounded pretty atrocious from what I read on them.As The Gods Will,on the hand sounded like a pretty entertaining film (surprised it took this long to pick up considering it's Takashi Miike).

Depends on where you read it. I thought they were pretty awesome, both on their own and as an adaptation of the source material (I didn't even watch the anime until afterwards).
Also, I'm starting to wonder if Funimation might get the Assassination Classroom movies in the near future. That would also be cool.

Funimation doesn't dub the live action movies they license, for example the Rurouni Kenshin and Attack on titan movies got a sub only release

During the Toronto Japanese Film Festival's screening of the second Parasyte movie, FUNimation's logo popped up right before the film starting. With this news bit, it's as good as confirmed until they do it themselves.
The Parasyte movies are an impressive adaptation of the manga - it's as if they actually had a decent budget! They cut out and rearranged several events - and combined/removed some characters as a result - but they added other elements that made other scenes more plausible. The movies have their faults (certain parts of the musical score were reused one too many times, an awkwardly placed sex scene that happens in the last third of the manga happens near the end of the second movie) but it's a competent production as a whole.
I had read the manga a couple of months before watching the movies and it was fun to see what had been altered.

They actually do; quite a number of them, in fact.
I know they dubbed the Space Battle Yamato movie from a couple of years for instance.

Are you talking about the UK releases, which Funimation has nothing to do with? Or are you talking about the theatrical releases where they're initially distributed in their native language? Rurouni Kenshin isn't even available for pre-order yet, so it's too early to say that it'll be sub-only, although Attack on Titan will definitely be bilingual. The only movie I'm aware of Funimation has released as sub-only on blu-ray was Zebraman 2 for some reason.
