I knew it. Really glad to have more Saiyuki being animated. Can't wait for more news.

^ The concussion? (haven't read any of Blast, so no clue)
I just wish someone would license Burial. It never even got a proper fansub.
I prefer the ADV cast to Bang Zoom!, but the Gaiden dub was really pathetic, like none of them even cared at that point, and since Hunt's iffy and Gardiola is right out, it doesn't really matter to me if it's dubbed or who does it as long as the original Japanese cast can come back.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand Saiyuki was the first manga that I ever got attached to, so I'm stoked to have more of it animated, but on the other hand I don't see how this adaption could be good. Saiyuki Reload Blast started in 2009 and almost right when it started the manga artist put it on hiatus and as of right now there are only two volumes out so I have no clue how they're gonna make an anime out of this. I think it would be better if they went back to Saiyuki Reload and finished that up since the anime didn't adapt to the end of that manga. Hopefully it's good whatever they do.

I'm too glad for my own good! To think we can get that terrifying encounter with Ukkoku animated....
I hope and expect to have the original Japanese cast back, we've been with their voices too long to simply put them aside and hear new ones. And since it's a continuation, it's logical to keep the same flow. (No more strange cases like D.gray-man pls! )

I am actually surprised there are still fans, the manga is almost 20 years old not completed and with fans still getting hiatus with no warning... fans of this one have probably the patience of Bodhisattvas...

Saiyuki is one of my very FAVORITES!!! I will be flying out to Vancouver next weekend to meet Seki-san for the VERY first time!!! He did reprise the role for Gaiden in 2011! So I hope to all the is good and right with the world that he loves the character so much that he won't be able to stop himself!
I have all the tingles with this news!

There's only 2 volumes because the artist hasn't able to work at full capacity. If she were a consultant/writer, then maybe she could put out the story she wants to, even if it's not in manga form (yet).

More Saiyuki?! The answer to this is never ever "no."
Also, please please let this lead to a license rescue for the manga in the US! Sometimes I look at the nine-out-of-ten volumes of Reload sitting on my bookshelf and just want to cry.

I'm so happy about this !
But it's kinda weird to do Blast and not a full remake of the franchise :/
Reload & Gunlock are really bad and have original ending and Gensomaden is kinda old
I'd love to see a remake like for FMA!
But does that means that Minekura is so sick that she can't draw the manga anymore? (and just supervise a serie?)
