If he is going to the internet, then he has to meet Hatsune Miku and Neptunia to complete the Meta madness.

Back when Disney was spending twenty years trying to figure out a real sequel for Tron (y'know, one with the 80's computer-geek sense of humor still in it Mad ), there was the idea of having Tron reawakened to the Internet 90's, and having to face "Firewalls", "Viruses" and the "World Wide Web".
And now that Fix-It Felix Jr. has now gone mobile-app with the death of the arcades, looks like Ralph may be taking over the duties of those in-jokes.

(And I don't think of Miku as "Internet", but this has to happen. Even if she only gets as much screen time as Sonic's much-billed "appearance" got in the first movie.)

Cliche-to-death movie with uninteresting characters/video games focus.

I don't care about this not-deserved sequel.

Kind of harsh words to say the least. I mean, I'm open to other's opinions but this sounds like troll material (Not labeling you one but this comment came off as sounding like one)

Anyways, this sounds like an interesting idea for Wreck-It Ralph with full of potential. As long as it doesn't heavily rely on meme culture then it will be good.

So is the setting moving from arcade cabinets to emulators?

Wow, Disney, made a reference to PornHub in the poster. Acknowledging porn in a movie is something I never thought I would see a modern day Disney do.

I wonder how Ralph will react when he sees the raw sewage that's oozing out of Steam Greenlight.

I think if Nintendo really wanted to help with the cameos they'd let Mario, Link, and Samus have supporting roles.

"Wreck-It Ralph debuted in 2012, starring Reilly as the titular character, an antagonist character of an arcade game who inadvertently starts a disaster that threatens all the games in the arcade. Ralph must travel between games in an attempt to fix his mistake and achieve his dream of becoming a hero. "

I always felt that part of the movie was not handled correctly, I mean, sure he causes the trouble, but it's because the others from his game don't realize the critical role he has in the game.

Furthermore, when he comes back with the medal, they still fail to understand that he is an integral part of their lives.

I felt the same way with the dungeon scene when they didn't expand on the "You don't know what it's like to be treated like a criminal." And they didn't let Felix realize and understand the pain Ralph had to go through ever day being 'the bad guy' when he wasn't really bad. He just let Ralph say what he said about being bad and he was good which I felt was kinda rushed, but yeah.

Despite what one of the other commenters said, WiR is one of my favorite Disney movies. It may not be a needed sequel, but it's one that I look forward to!

They're referencing "Stubhub" (which has nothing to do with porn).

While I generally dislike Disney movies (they are generally simplistic and superficial) I found Wreck it Ralph to be an excellent film. In fact the best animated Disney movie from the past 70 years. I hope the sequel will be good as well.

Yes, it's cliche, but it's good, well executed, cliche stuff.

Questionable direction. Sounds fresh but this sequel's existence feels unnecessary. Adored the first Wreck-it-Ralph and with that in mind, I'm looking forward to this.
