I knew BokuMachi/Erased sold a lot thanks to the anime and live action but holy hell that's a lot more than I expected.

I really don't understand why it's taking so long for a 3rd season of Kingdom.

Dagashi on the list? Wow! So Sunday's current roster is now four instead of their usual Conan-Magi tandem.

FWIW that's 6705607 fewer sales (11% drop) on the same period last year, with 17 titles from 2015 still in the top 30 this year. The only change at the top being Kingdom breaking into the top 5 & Sins going from first to 6th. Biggest drop is Tokyo Ghoul (6th last year) & biggest rise is Erased (not in top 30 last year).

No surprises on this list one piece is number 1(Who didn't see that coming well it was ether that or 2nd), assassination classroom is 2nd(Final season is out and It the manga just ended so it having a higher ranking is to be expected), attack on titan 3rd( fan-base still holding on strong), haikyuu and kingdom are in a cool 4th and 5th(kingdoms manga is going hard and Haikyuu is still rolling after its second season). 6-10 seems about right although 3/5 are mainly due to recently having an anime. Magi cracked the top 20 which is cool to see and bleach is at 22 again no surprise and just like most of these there is no toriko in sight..... I wonder if hxh will crack at least the top 30 in the second half(kinda doubt it tho) ?

SnK not #2? The series is dead.

The series has only had two new volumes in the last six months vs 3 from AssClass and Haikyuu, and those two have or had anime series running this semester to boost their sales, yet SnK managed to be on par with them, it's extremely far from "death".

I'm impressed with Haikyuu, it's sold half a million more copies than last year with the same amount of volumes in the same time period. I'm very happy to see it's grown this much since it's such a brilliant series. Bleach's sales didn't drop at all since last year in spite of its popularity continuing to tank hard, which is good. I may not like the current arc and some of the things Kubo may be trying to do (I have a horrid feeling he's trying to set up Ichihime as endgame couple *vomits*) but I still want to see it end the way Kubo planned instead of getting canceled. Magi's still doing great in spite of not having an anime (I'm hoping they plan to do a third season once the manga ends), so I'm happy with that. Overall good results

It's pretty obvious at this point that it never became the golden egg chicken WSJ was hoping it would -at the highest marketing point they were putting Toriko next to Luffy and Goku-. The volumes are still selling over 200K so it's still okayish for WSJ standards, but hard from outstanding, even the "dead" Bleach is doubling those numbers. Its popularity in the magazine has been tanking for a while it's often ranking near the bottom along with Nisekoi, sometimes going even below Bleach. If it continues like this, it might even get canceled on the next quarter, since none of the newer, usually more vulnerable series are ranking as low. The only one that's doing relatively bad is Mononofu, but it's usually above Nisekoi, Toriko and Bleach (and since it's about shogi, I hope it makes it and maybe even gets an anime). Unless Daily Demon Diary that started recently does really poorly in the next three months, we could be looking at Toriko and/or Nisekoi getting the axe next

Awesome to see that My Hero Academia made it into the Top 10! Smile Plus, I'm a bit surprised that Dagashi Kashi made it into the chart, considering its seeming obscurity...

It is so good to see Chihayafuru in this list. At 31 volumes I am not sure we will ever see a physical release in the USA (though I can hope). My next hope would be for a DVD release of the two seasons that are already subtitled on Crunchyroll. If that ever goes away it would just be too sad to never see it again. Last hope - a third season.
