It was predictable , the same thing will probably happen to Shounen Maid.

Well, this is disappointing. The fact that this episode will now be an OAD probably means that Crunchyroll won't stream it.

Damn it, that's disappointing. Sakamoto is one of my most-looked-forward-to shows each week.

That sucks. I hope that doesn't mean that it won't get streamed on Crunchyroll. Man, I hope we don't have to wait until the JP BD release before we get it.

That 13th episode will probably be in Sentai's release. I may be grasping at straws, but I'd imagine the deal with CR is for 13 episodes and not 12. It's not like CR is set to a TV schedule like Japan is. *crosses fingers*

Can't they release the episode on a later date like Kekkai Sensen's finale?

It amazes me how seemingly inflexible Japanese broadcast television seems to be. You'd think it wouldn't be all that difficult to just chuck the final episode into a spare slot somewhere.

The thing is that they plain don't have a spare slot, it'd seem
So they'd either have to air it at a very later date and pay again, or just not air and leave it on the BD and get that small (hopeful) boost in sales

Oh, I didn't know Sakamoto ended with volume 4. Not sure if I'll bother holding off on reading the remaining two volumes to watch the anime since I just got the 3rd. I figured there was still a lot more to go. Too bad.

I'm just randomly passing by from reading the article, but that seems really dumb to "drop" a series when I'm assuming you're one episode away from finishing it. That's about all I can say with the information you've given, so unless there's some other reason behind it... Just enjoy what you have and wrap it up when the last episode is available for you. That's like if I played a RPG, played through the whole game up until right before the final boss battle and ending, then decided, "Nope! Screw this! I've had enough!" Just finish what you started for crying out loud, even more so if you're practically at the finish line. I could understand otherwise if you only just started or were halfway through.

Wouldn't it be more like playing a free-to-play game, then finding out you had to pay money to fight the final boss and see the ending?
