What?! I know that Zerospoiler[died] but how I never knew. Where is this Extra Chapter 4? Was it part of the original manga ending? As for this sequel, I'm wary of it too. I seem to remember when it was first announced, there was some mention of Kaname being in it and I was like, Nope! But if it really is gonna be about Zero and Yuuki's life together, then I might get back on board.

Oh for god sakes! Can't they just let VK rest in peace already?! I really would like to see Matsuri Hino create something new besides VK. I know her latest short story wasn't all that impressive, but seriously, falling back on VK for a sequel is just plain ridiculous! I want something like new similar to Wanted or Meru Puri!

All of the Extra chapters are technically part of the original ending in that they expand on the time between Kaname's spoiler[sacrifice] and his spoiler[revival], and they delve a little into what happens after his spoiler[revival].

As far as I can tell, there's no legal way to read them (and Chapter 1 was a digital distribution, so I think it's harder to find), but Googling "Vampire Knight Extra Chapter 4" should point you in the right direction.

So ridiculously excited and grateful she's decided to expand the manga a little more! Only just got hooked to the series in the past two years.. it instantly became an addiction. The characters are so ridiculously beautiful, honorable and heart breaking. Cannot wait to see more about Yuki and Zeros relationship after Kanames passing.... and the potential vampire politics which might follow the coming of their relationship. Will also be great to learn more about Ai/Ren and would love to see some more of Yuki and Zero's family life after deciding to finally be together.

I for one am very pleased she's going back to VK. However, I am disappointed she's going back to it to only cover the 1,000 years that went by.

I hated the ending of VK, oh man did I ever hate it! For how long it was out, for how many volumes the manga has ... That was by far one of the WORST endings! It felt rushed, very, very rushed. I wasn't satisfied with it at all. Not to mention that it's not a final solution given spoiler[ Yuki was once human too so all it'd take for Kaname to go back to being a vampire is blood from his line & a pureblood ... All things that with that ending, are possible given Yuki had kids and whose to say both kids are Zero's? ]

I think she should rewrite the ending, make it a damn dream or something - I don't need to know what went on during the time Yuki & Zero were together, after all it kinda is obvious by the mangas ending ...
