And CR decided to call Ishikui "rock eater", something the translations of the OVA never did, I can't really trust them after they did that.

the wait was long but I loved this show, can't wait to see the rest of the story (because not a lot of anime gives us the real ending these days)

So you don't trust CR to translate Ushio & Tora because the translator for the show went with the literal translation of "Ishikui" instead of keeping it in Japanese?
I'm sorry, but that's an intensely petty reason, and one that (from what I've seen of the show so far) has not been duplicated since that episode.

If it was limited to just episode 2 you'd be entirely correct, however they have referenced Ishikui multiple times and have not resolved the problem. It is a general rule of thumb in translations that you don't translate names of proper pronouns, otherwise we should be calling Tora "Tiger".
