I definitely agree about Rakudai, but S2 of Asterisk should have quite a few great fights (assuming they cover to the end of the tournament). Imo the setting / mc intro, various character introduction segments, and only loosely related story arcs dragged Asterisk down a bunch early on. S2 should be a lot more focused. |

It'sounds funny I like Asterisk LN better than Rakudai because of the world building and the females in Asterisk is much more fun to read for some reason.
I have to agree, Rakudai anime is better. |

I like the world building in Asterisk, but the MC is pretty bland and the main girl is yet another tsundere. Not that I dislike tsunderes (and I do like Julis alot), but I can't give points for originality when there isn't any either. |

Since this is the "ultimate school battle action" science-fiction comedy, I'm expecting lots of battles and lots of laughs.
This type of show isn't a real draw, but I'm giving it a chance as some of my faith was renewed thanks to Rakudai. I put off watching Asterisk War because I found out about its 2nd season before I had started it. Sounds like that was a good idea.
