Speed Racer satisfied my "need for speed" for a few decades and Redline should do it for the next two or three, though it ws a quality production with at least one great VA performance. I concur, IGPX/GPX got rooked in the list, which was conspicuously one item short of the usual 7.

Maybe not a race, but having a nitro-powered police car in You're Under Arrest put it above being just a police show.

Hey, what about Gyrozetter? Doesn't that have Giant Robot Fights and Racing in it?

EX-Driver, anyone? That show had three drivers that chased after malfunctioned automatic-driven vehicles using their classic, unmodified cars.

Well if we're going to go that route than you'd have to include Gunsmith Cats. Though neither of those shows is more primarily a cars or racing themed anime.

Uggghhh. Thanks for remind me that that show exists. I had managed to forget all about it. *sigh* Now I gotta spend years trying to forget about it ll over again.

F-Zero The Legend of Falcon, even if some episodes are actually predictable. The show is a decent version of the series.

Also as a Commenter said earlier Cyber Formula.

If "Top Gear" had an episode that had cars in animation, these would be among the shows there, along with "Wacky Races,""Speed Buggy" and other types of stuff like this. I think it would work well. What do you guys think?

That's an awesome idea for a Top Gear episode. But if it were Jeremy, James, and Richard... It doesn't matter how fast it went, if it was a Japanese car they'd call it boring, a rip-off, and throw in some ethnic slurs for good measure.

Richard would probably love a "Trans Am 2000" (he's the one that like American Muscle Cars) but Jeremy and James would laugh at how horrible it corners.

Haha, the poll! Anime hyper I picked "no answer" and am amused that most people agree (as of this writing). They're all fun to watch but I'd never want any of them as a sibling.

The "IGPX" TV series is about racing and fighting robots that can over 350+ mph. It was also also one of the earliest cases of a simuldub, as it started a few weeks after the 10/2005 premiere of the Japanese premiere.
