Good to see Rinehart there; I haven't heard much of him recently, and I loved him in Steins;Gate

Not gonna lie here. A lot of these casting choices seem extremely questionable and Sonny Strait doesn't exactly have the best track record when it comes to directing. Though of course it's hard to gauge much of anything until we actually hear how it sounds, but I hope it works out since I was really looking forward to watching this one in English.

My thoughts exactly. The performances in his Prison School dub were great, so maybe he can pull off the same magic here? Hopefully?

Honestly I was expecting Sinclair to be Kaiser when they dubbed this. {robably because he kinda looks like a more proper version of Space Dandy.

Yeah, I pictured Ian as Kaiser as well, but I think he'll work out at Favaro. It's Chris Rager that I'm having trouble with. Mister Torgue and Hercule are the characters that pop into my mind when you mention the guy, and that how Kaiser is sounding in my head right now

I think Ian Sinclair will be perfect for Favaro. The rest of them seem...fine? I guess? I don't know. Glad this show's getting a dub. It always seemed like Toonami bait to me.

Prison School's dub was garbage. What were they even thinking with Andre's voice? And i found all the performances except for Kiyoshi's to be pretty lackluster. The Japanese VA's were unbelievably good.

See, I knew someone would say this. Feel free to think whatever you want, but to me, the dub was every bit as enjoyable as the sub was. Alexis Tipton's Hana was especially great.

Best news I've heard along with Dimension W being on Toonami soon. :D

At least he's not directing broadcast dubs anymore (for the moment). The fact that first time ADR Directors like Cris George, Aaron Dismuke and Felecia Angelle have done significantly better than him (a guy who has several years worth of experience if you include early FUNi dubs) kind of proves how poor he is at that job...

You're of course entitled to have your opinion but just know that it falls into a very, very, very small minority. The dub was crap; you can't logically defend it as being good. Rolling Eyes

I'm looking forward to this. Rage of Bahamut: Genesis was one of my favorite anime in years.

@FrameFreeze100

You telling me that I'm of a supposedly small minority of people that truly believe that the Prison School dub is good is your roundabout way of saying I'm wrong and you're right without actually saying it.

Well, whatever helps you sleep at night! Laughing

Interesting you "knew" someone would criticize it; which would indicate you're aware of its less than stellar reputation. Perhaps deep down you know it's not the great dub you want it to be? Are you in denial? I'll be just fine. I don't lie to myself or deny myself the obvious truth. If you're this defensive over supporting a crappy dub I probably shouldn't be surprised if you're as stubborn on more important things IRL... Good luck

@FrameFreeze100

sigh

You REALLY want me to believe I'm in the wrong here, huh? Look, I'm saying that the dub is good. You're saying that the dub is bad and I should feel bad for thinking that it's good. I get it. Just leave it alone, okay?
