And I thought the Bible novel was bad...
I don't know if this is trivializing religion or a push for proselytization disguised as "children's comics," and marketing bandwagon. The Mormons will give you a free Bible if you order one from their site. Let's be happy with that. |

What's wrong with the Bible being translated into a manga format? We don't know how it will do until it's released, but I as well see this as interesting and possibly informative as well. |

Why does the guy on the front cover remind me of FF7's Dirge of Cerebrus version of Reeve Tuesti?

Who needs manga bibles when you've got Jack Chick tracts?

What do you know, we already have a "manga" Bible.
Called, The Manga Bible by British-Nigerian artist Siku. |

"You kids like comics, right? Here you go! You boys better listen to the word of Lord Jesus Christ or you'll lose your soul to the depths of Hell!" I wish I could find it. |

heheh this is funny. I like reading the Bible the way it is so I won't be buying this. Kinda ironic how companies like Focus on the Family is all "anime is evil", yet they produce Christian manga.
Tezuka made an anime out of Bible stories. I wouldn't mind that, but the Bible as a manga? It's bad enough it's translated lyke dis. http://en.tezuka.co.jp/anime/sakuhin/ts/ts022.html |

Ok, this is about as mainstream as it's getting now. Manga Bible. Better put that on the list for next semester. I gotta see this myself.

Now, if they have Jesus shooting lasers out of his eyes -- I'll be impressed.

Hi guys, just so you know, Christian fiction is a fast growing area of fiction now. I review genre fiction books on the side and Christian romances are a big presence in some places. So a Christian publisher want to produce a manga because they know some people will be interested because those people like manga and this will be a way for this publisher to promote religion and faith and all that.
The problem is most Christian fiction in any form is pretty preachy. I think that you are a Christian that happens to want to support Christian fiction by buying it regardless of the quality, you will probably buy this for your teenager or whoever and be happy with your decision. At least the publisher brought in Japanese artists to draw. |

Of course you're avatar makes your requests all the more funny. lol: lol: I find it interesting that a bible done in manga format is being done. I guess someone is interested. But like eyesopen0791states, that someone knows how popular manga is here. So why not. It's like everyone is getting on the band wagon. Funny thing was that many Christians didn't like 'Pokemon'. But again anime has held a high standing in the animation dept. in the past years. |
