It was a huge number of announcements for an AWA panel, and reading the write-up here makes the size of it more manifest than when they were going through slides. I was there, and was thinking "did they just seriously announce six new titles?"
Highway Blossoms looks particularly interesting. I like seeing American experiences run through the VN filter, and there haven't been a ton of yuri VNs anyways.

I was also just going to say that Highway Blossoms looked the most interested out of all of them. The problem with the PVs of the other games is that all of them had this ridiculously fancy music videos that actually doesn't tell you anything about the story other than that there is gonna be romance. The Highway Blossoms had an interesting premise (never heard about adventures from a second hand vehicle home) and we IMMEDIATELY understood that the story is going to be about yuri without making anything seem dramatic.

I'm honestly not sure what to feel for most of the titles, though as a yuri fan, I find yuri hitchhikers in America interesting.
Japanese School Life has a really, really bad case same face. And same body. It stands out as the most boring and uninteresting.

Quote: | Sekai Project has opened a website for the Japanese School Life visual novel, and it describes the game as follows:
You're a foreign exchange student who is filled with anxiety and excitement as your dream of living in Japan is finally becoming a reality! Get ready to meet the diligent and good-natured girls that will be spending a majority of your time with you. It is going to be one crazy-fun year! |
I'm actually wondering if there's any way this could be MORE generic.

Either that or it's one of those boundary-pushing 15+ harem games.

Sekai Project means that it's guaranteed almost certainly an all ages version through Steam. If it's available, they try to distribute the 18+ version through Denpasoft, though as it has less priority than the all-ages version, there are occasionally huge delays. Grisaia had that problem though it was recently rectified.

Wagamama hasn't even come out in Japan yet, right? That's pretty impressive, the game still hasn't been released and it's already got an anime and an English version planned.

The yuri game is about the only one that caught my eye. I wonder how much it will cost and short it actually is.
More VNs are always good, I just wish more sounded interesting to me.

An original IP, ha? I hope it'll work out for them.

Wow they must have a lot of faith for Wagamama High Spec.
There's an anime coming and an English release too!

This is certainly a way to cut down the piracy aspect. An English-sub announcement for the anime between now and at least a month before its release would also be interesting.

I think they said Highway Blossoms was non-branching, and that it was pretty short. So, Planetarian but with two women and a motor home.

They pretty much treat Denpasoft as a red headed stepchild. Why bother running a site for 18+ titles when you barely promote it? You can see why Lupie Soft went with MangaGamer for The Menagerie despite working with Sekai Project on other projects, at least MangaGamer will promote your work. (may as well admit I have The Menagerie preordered, I mean futa yuri elves? Sold. Plus for a western VN the art work is refreshingly non-anime)
I also can't help but feel that Sekai Project are taking on way too many titles, they have a huge back log compared to JastUSA and MangaGamer and either things will go slow, or quality will go down.
