I actually think this is a really cute expression. Much better than duck face in my opinion. Something about the duck face was always really off putting to me.

Someone at work has all their online pictures with the duck face... They would have had their company photo also if they where allowed too... I hope this new trend sends them into an existential crisis...

Indeed! This information is vital.


In the second photo, the girl on the left is Yoshida Akari. The girl on the right is Sayaka Yamamoto. Sayaka is also the girl in the third photo. They are Japanese idols from the sister group of AKB48 known as NMB48.

The girls in the last three photos aren't anyone famous. They are just regular girls that post selfies on a daily basis on twitter. The girl in the first photo who is wearing earphones is an actress for magazines and such. She isn't anyone famous either.
