This would work 1000% better with Majin Boo.

That was quite a funny seeing all that food being summoned from all over the entire world, but I agree that seeing Majin Buu doing this would have been better.

So, is Fox going to do EVERY single Cartoon Network Anime=DBZ joke from the mid-00's?
(I mean, we're starting to approach an audience who's never been alive to have seen DBZ in its original cable run...)

Isn't Goku the one who likes to eat? I thought that was supposed to be the parody.

Goku's hunger level apparently went over 9000 after that.

It seems like whenever anime is satirized in general, that it always seems to focus on anime shows from the 80s and 90s. It'd be nice to see some newer popular anime like Sword Art Online or Attack on Titan get a parody for a change.

Oh, we will--Give it a year, and we're already getting the Titan parodies.
After all, Anime Is Whatever The Kids Are Talking About On CN.
Point is, most of the DBZ whining was around the same time as CN was school-bullying the old Hanna-Barbera reruns to try and bums-rush them off the network to make room for more of their original programming--Right around the same mid-00's time as Toonami was airing the Majin Buu saga, which just seemed to go on forever....and forever... -_- ;
A lot of collective hostility toward one or the other built up into one free-floating resentment, CN's goodwill toward non-AS anime was evaporating rapidly, and out of all their "Anime is Teh Geek" jokes, we kept getting a LOT of jokes about how DBZ was nothing but Goku and the enemy flexing and screaming at each other for thirty minutes without a plot, and using that to punish all anime ever created in general. (Check out Warner's "parody" of anime in the Speed Racer movie--It was down deep at the corporate level.)
And although CN's jokes were passed down father-and-son to Fox's CN-doppelganger, it helps to put such misplaced anger management in context, so we can take the first step in dealing with it more healthily.

EricJ2 seems to hit it on the head - if the folks doing ADHD trace back to CN, then it's hardly surprising they keep harping on things they don't like: that was pretty much the MO of Cartoon Network's original commercials(anybody else remember those ads that were the sole source of the Scrappy that appeared in the movie?).

In fairness, I remember back then most DBZ fans could also tend to be really aggressive in their love for the show and I remember getting unto arguments with my fellow classmates way back in high school who only ever watched DBZ and were automatically dismissive of any anime that wasn't DBZ. I remember trying to get some of them to watch Princess Mononoke but even with that movie they instantly dismissed it as being inferior to DBZ. And it seems like that negative reaction to DBZ was an over-reaction response to the overly zealous DBZ fandom at the time. It seems like it's only been in recent years that anime fandom has calmed down on both sides and now everyone seems to accept DBZ was a pretty good show that wasn't always perfect but was still fun and DB Kai cutting out all the filler ins probably helped some too.
