Yep, there's one OVA episode per boxset. I really hope that they'll announce English subs for the sets later because I really don't want to buy the boxsets only to have to go to an illegal anime streaming site just to watch the OVAs subbed. |

Listening to Choro Club's BGM really brings back memories. But man, getting another set of full complete series just for these OVAs is a bit too much for me.
It seems the first episode is based on Vol. 12 Special Navigation spoiler[about Alice getting busy as Prima and had no time to meet up with Akari and Aika] and the story of spoiler[Akari meeting Cait Sith for the last time]. |

I think it would be the latter, because Vol12 Special Navigation was already animated as Origination ep11. And we'll have Nagisa & Mashiro as the Undine. |

Hopefully Nozomi is already negotiating with them. It would probably mean waiting a few years for a release, but all 3 together as an OVA would be a must buy for me.

So this won't be a complete new series? Bummer. But hey, it's new ARIA, even if it's just a transparent ploy to get fans to buy the new Blue-ray box sets.
Yay It's just too bad they won't dump that ugly "cat". I find him terribly annoying, and the only thing that keeps me from fully enjoying the older series. |

Yeah, I kinda get it that the titular cat is just some kind of cutesy mascot. I don't hate him though. I do dislike it when he starts to make his sound... voice, whatever. Which is why at times reading the manga is much more enjoyable. I do hope the BD version is remastered instead of just increasing the resolution. Although the scenery was great, the characters often looked off-model, which bugged me a lot in the olden days. Also, it's great to see Ai Kayano in the cast. From the stories I read, ARIA (the Origination) was the thing that made her a voice actress. |
