I'm using Google Chrome, and a lot of the time a link shows up in a separate tab with obvious malware. I think it may be because of this site, because I don't see it happening on any other site. Also, ANN is one the few sites I use that I disable Adblock on.

My experience with that sort of thing is that you may have unwittingly downloaded a malicious add-on/plug-in into Chrome. (I may be using the wrong terminology as I use Firefox as my browser.) Check them & remove any you can't see a need for.
