Pretty sure it's lined with gold, why else would something cost this much for something so unnecessary

Since the paper clip holder is mostly made of gold, I can see $72 being a reasonable price for it.

Mostly made of *metal*, not gold. It's gold-plating over some cheap metal, It's nowhere near 1:1 scale, it's an over priced papeweight. |
