That's not a curling iron. That's just a girl holding a curling iron.
That floating door for the refrigerator character does make me wonder though: If you open that door up, us there a full refrigerator compartment inside? If so, does that explain why some of these characters, like the oven, have empty space inside instead of their torsos?
All in all, I get the feeling these characters were designed with cosplay in mind, hence the appliance themes being restricted mostly to parts attached to their clothes.

What the fuq was with the guy's voice in the video?
And also, there's something really disturbing about an old fat dude squealing in delight over home-electronics-made-girls.

That's what I see as well. I would have liked to see a little more innovation than strapping a toaster or curling iron to a girl.

I wonder how Caffy will be able to transport hot water and coffee without seriously injuring herself...

Well, her skirt seems to be made of coffee as well, so maybe she has a high heat tolerance. There are at least three characters based on coffee machines though!

Most of these girls would be highly dangerous to date. Just imagine a girl who is actually a juicer. She would have no difficulty remaining pure.

Actually I think she represents a hair straightener, this would tie into the nature that she has overly long straight hair.

Yeah, I hadn't even thought about "Naomi, a curling iron" being inaccurate. (I know what a hair straightener looks like and how it's used.) Then again, the gap between the prongs may be hard to see, especially as Naomi seems to be wielding it like a sword.

@Kadmos1
Juicer girl would most likely shred your hopes and dreams, not to mention any assorted body parts you offered her.
Or take the girl who is a stove. Granted you would have a "hot" girlfriend, but if you managed to turn her on you would be bound to get burned.
I won't claim this is the silliest concept the Japanese have come up with, but it is likely in the hot 100.

And the "moefication" of everyday object continues. Oh Japan, you never cease to amaze me.
