Please stop putting interesting news items on the front page. I come here to look up something in the encyclopedia, and a news item catches my eye. I read it. Then something else. And another thing. Thirty minutes later I suddenly realize I can't remember what I came here to research. Just stop, please? It's as if your site is a trap, only made out of words instead of forbidden naughty bits.

This more appropriately belongs in the feedback forum.

Look, we've been begging ANN to stop posting interesting items for years... the bastards never listen.

Get trapped sometimes like that as well. ANN has good variety of topics and are too good at their job. For best results, if you see a topic your interesting in reading about, just open it in another tab for reading later. Sure, you'll have many tabs open, but you won't forget why you came here or topics that you might have forgotten while reading other topics.

If you see something interesting, open it in a new tab.
Then continue what you want to do.
You can read the interesting piece(s) afterwards.
My take on it

This made me feel good on what is otherwise a lazy, sick-with-a-cold day. Thanks
