What about the Haruhi clones in PapaKiki and Angel Beats? They're much closer matches than anyone on this list.

I voted for Big Hero 6. The Academy strongly favors Disney and Pixar films, and they only lose in that category when there's no output from them or if their output was particularly bad while another studio's output was extremely good (like with Shrek).

I had a feeling there was another Blue Exorcist who resembled some other anime character. I remember Lightning reminded me of Portgas D. Ace from One Piece, and Shura reminded me of Yoko from Gurren Lagann.

Now I can be reasonbly convinced that Kazue Kato just hires toon actors from Toontown Japan on their slow days to perform in Blue Exorcist.

I too was surprised not to see a Haruhi/Yurippe comparison.

I am sorry, but no. This list is too bogus. A couple of the pairings make sense, but the rest do not look like twins at all.

How about Kazuki Muto (Buso Renkin) and Takashi Komuro (HOTD)?

Unfortunately, the Oscars always go with whatever movie Disney put out that year. And the only reason Spirited Away won that one time was because Disney decided to back it, instead of they're own (being Lilo & Stitch) that particular year. A lot of the members of the academy have actually admitted to not seeing most of the animated films and just picking Disney's movies at default. It kinda makes me sad that nothing else really gets a chance at an Oscar, just because they think that animated movies are all for children, and don't view them as being works of art, or important in any way.

I don't believe that Princess Kaguya has a prayer; to think otherwise is to believe that the Universe has an overabundance of justice just lying around.....

I shared this a few years ago...

Mokke's Mizuki Hibara

and Figure 17's Hikaru Shina

If the Academy is in the mood to show it can look beyond Disney, Song of the Sea probably has a better chance. Then again, I never expected to see Kaguya beat out Lego. You've got to dream!

James (Pokémon) x Mitsuki Sarue (The Devil is a Part-Timer!)
Wow, this one when right past me while watching Maou-sama! Laughing

Taiga (Toradora!) x Ryoko (Ōkami-san & Her Seven Companions)
Seeing this brings back memories. But, the first ones aren't of the comparisons made during Okami-san's airing...first memory is me being disappointed that Okami-san didn't get a 2nd season.

I remember when Okami-san first came out there were loads of jokes/theories that Ryoko was the daughter of Taiga and Ryuuji.

Ah, I remember those. Also, more recently, some were saying that Golden Time's Koko looked like a grown up Taiga.

I know Toradora and Golden Time are written by the same writer...but did they have the same character designer? Or does the writer have a type for her MCs and the character designer went with what she asked? Laughing

I wish the new poll had 2 questions: who do you think will win and who do you want to win.

I've got a ton of these. Smile Getbackers and Weiß Kreuz and Saiyuki seem to have a lot of crossovers.

Jubei (GB) and Ken (WK:Glühen version)

Yohji (WK) and Paul Wang (GB)

Leonid from E's Otherwise and Vash the Stampede (as Ericks). Also note the arm on Leonid's glasses.

Huang from Darker than Black and Moss from Wolf's Rain

Shido (GB) and Sanosuke (Rurouni Kenshin)

That's enough for now.

The obvious one everyone's missed:
Enju and Tina from Black Bullet:

Separated at birth, I think we all agreed on.
