Noir is one of my all time favorites, and I look forward to watching it on HD. I assume this set will have the video from last year's Japanese BD release. I hope the new transfer looks stunning. And I am glad I decided not to import the Japanese set.

D-Frag and Freezing are probables. Noir will be a serious consideration. I enjoyed the series on the whole, but felt it started to drag towards the end. The dated animation was also a turn-off, but perhaps the HD transfer will liven the aesthetics up at least a little bit.

I need to see the cast for D Frag - if it's good enough, veteran enough, I'll preorder.

Noir. I love the opening. And the soundtrack. It had a great first episode and some good last few episodes. In short, if it was a 90 minute movie, I'd own it already. Ok, I'll probably get it; It'll be a BD set for around 25 dollars retail and a much better deal than the DVD set.

Freezing Vibration Gift with Purchase and Exclusive Info!
Posted by Lauren on 01/21/2015 at 5:00pm

Hello, friends! As we near the spring we’re revving up for some new home video releases, and one we’re particularly excited about—and we hope you are too –is Freezing Vibration, the sizzling sequel to the sci-fi action hit Freezing.

Not only are we releasing this complete second season on April 21, not only does it include six OVA short episodes, and not only is the release available for pre-order now…we’ve done something extra-special for this release, just for fans who buy the series here on our FUNimation.com store.

Fans who purchase our Freezing Vibration FUNimation.com Exclusive Edition will receive a special limited edition calendar featuring your favorite Freezing ladies—and including a very special (and very naughty) piece of Freezing anime art commissioned just for the series’ North American fans! Note: this release is limited to 500 units ONLY, so pre-order early!

If you can’t afford to level up to the exclusive edition, we’ve still got something special for you. Anyone who pre-orders any Freezing Vibration release (the Limited Edition, regular edition, or FUNimation.com Exclusive Edition) will also receive a special digital gift with purchase: a wallpaper featuring a slightly-more-clothed version of this same exclusive artwork.

So….
Viewers of this blog post get:
  • To see the 100% fully-clothed version of our North American-exclusive artwork!

Fans who pre-order any Freezing Vibration release get:
  • Their chosen release (obviously!), plus
  • A desktop wallpaper featuring a decidedly less-clothed version of our North American-exclusive artwork!

The 500 fans who pre-order the Freezing Vibration FUNimation.com Exclusive Edition get:
  • The Freezing Vibration Limited Edition release, plus
  • The exclusive desktop wallpaper, plus
  • An exclusive Freezing calendar (April 2015 through March 2016)

Sound good? Okay, here’s your preview of the exclusive art:

FUNimation just released an amusing new trailer for Sankarea Uncut:

http://www.funimation.com/shows/sankarea/videos/promotional/complete-series-uncut

Personally, I love how they're being purposefully condescending here. It's like they're trying to say "Sure, we lost lots of money trying to put out this semi-popular show that will probably never in a million years recoup its losses, but hey! Have a few extra seconds of boobs and guts!!!" Laughing

Deep down, I already *know* someone on this site is going to be offended in some deep, personal way by this trailer. And I'm going to laugh at them when they are. Razz

EDIT: Also, you gotta love the homage to Grindhouse's "Thanksgiving" trailer. The narrator's voice was a nice B-movie-esque touch.

That trailer is hilarious. Condescension aside, I'm glad I held off for the seconds and seconds of extra succulent footage.

I'm offended that they didn't actually call it Sankarea Again on the cover rather than Sankarea: Undying Love; It's too perfect and a much better title to boot. Third time's the charm, guys.

I preordered the first 2 boxes for $69.99 which I thought was a steal, and the third one is now even cheaper at $62.99? Awesome.

I held off on ordering the first two boxes when they were initially listed at that price and then they jumped to $89.99 and haven't gone back down so far (hoping they do some day).
Ordered the 3rd box right away. If you're on the fence, I suggest you don't wait.

They can be childish and troll the fans all they want, but the fact remains that if they'd done their job right in the first place (or just been upfront, "hey guys, we were only able to get the TV version because of ::reasons::"), they wouldn't have found themselves in that position.
