You can tell what men and women want out of their basketball judging by the votes for Slam Dunk and no Basket, respectively. Kinda sad Ippo got so many few votes though.
Anyway, since basketball got so many votes - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdj6ynQwuSM |

Whoa, Kuroko beats Slam Dunk by a landslide of over 400 votes. And Hajime no Ippo is near dead last, that's sad since it just got a recent PS3 game. I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

Glad to see Kuroko's Basketball on the top. I've seen more than 10 sports anime and it's the one I've enjoyed the most. It's just such a fun and entertaining show. Made me care about all the characters.

Interesting that Ro-Kyu-Bu somehow made it in the poll, considering the controversy that surrounded it...
In any case, congratulations for Kuroko's Basketball reaching the No. 1 slot! ![]() |

Kuroko's Basketball over Slam Dunk? What is this world coming to...

I'm a lady and I would have preferred if Slam Dunk won. It's an older anime, I know, but still. He boys looked more real and thuggish. Kuroko is just full of pretty boys.[/i]

I'm sure age of the respondent changed this a lot. Good showing by Aim for the Ace, Touch, and H2 considering their age. Of course they were all super popular at the time with the broader Japanese audience.

Ro-Kyu-Bu moved me more than most sports anime and Haikyuu was just as moving (for the actual sport though unlike the characters which made Ro-Kyu-Bu so moving) and was filled with many crowning moments of awesome.

What has the boys anything to do with this? Slam Dunk is the one where they actually play basketball. |

Well, I am still a little relived the real masterpieces like Touch an Ace wo Nerae (and other like Major-AWESOME and CAPTAIN TSUBASA) are remembered at the least knowing what kind of fans voted. Slam Dunk is adored in japaa and its not that old, so I am not surprised to see it here.

About sports? Not likely, they were obviously voting with something else in mind. The guys seemed to take it much more seriously, but then again there isn't as much eye candy for them so they kinda have to take it seriously. I'm just bummed that Cross Game didn't make the list, that one is still my favorite. Emerje |

Kuroke No Basket is definitely great, but honestly, Hajime No Ippo requires more appreciation. That anime is one of the founding anime that got me into anime. Slam Dunk was okay, but it didn't even end, so wtf?
Major, I cannot believe I even watched it was so shit. The main character was just an egotist who thought the world of himself every himself. [Edited to remove unacceptable language. errinundra.] |
