Now if only Sony would give us a DVD release of Nodame Cantabile with the English dub.

That's reminds me, I need to watch the K-drama adaptation on Dramafever. |

The first season was released on DVD with English dub in South-East Asia. |

This list actually looks pretty solid to me. I would just put "Your Lie in April" a lot lower because the predictable drama is really dull. I haven't watched those shows aimed at younger audiences like Precure (or was this the one secretly aimed at old men?) and the male harems so I'm just ignoring them for this comment. Excluding those, the list is pretty solid.
edit: I'd actually raise Tari Tari. I liked the story it told. |

Pretty good list. I just wish the Nodame manga had been finished in English.

So, Beck is not on the list? Meh.

Don't you mean the J-drama? That one is the best adaptation of a manga that I have ever seen, except for a Stresemann played by a japanese actor and the Paris part that was weaker. Anyway, to summarize: great music, many good laughs. |

I can't believe La Corda D'oro and Uta No Prince Sama weren't in the top 3

Amazing that Nodame Cantabile is No. 1 on the poll even after all those years.

Really? Looking at the list the reason seems pretty clear to me. La Corda and Uta are aimed at a specific audience. The ones getting the top spots are mostly aimed at a more general audience. It just comes down to whom is voting. |

Nodame Cantabile is really the only anime qualified to be in the category of musical anime. The others, well....

No there's a K-drama adaptation also (under the name: Naeil's Cantabile/Tomorrow Cantabile) that came out recently, you can watch it on Dramafever. Here's some videos that talked about the K-drama adaptation: Arirang TV's Showbiz Korea- Press conference for the drama KBS's Entertainment Weekly report on the drama KBS interview report with the cast of the K-drama adaptation Juri Ueno (who played the character in the original) has said she was excited for the Korean adaptation. Juri Ueno by the way is going to be in a Korean film soon. |

This might make Kate Higgins, the heroine's dubbed voice, happy to hear since she is also a singer. I love her Sakura voice on Shippuden.

Wait wait wait, since when Macross F and Detroit Metal City is musical anime!? What is the definition of musical anime!? I know that in Macross F they have idols singing and all, and in DMC they have... Krauser-san. But I just really think they don't fit in this list...
