Thanks for the review. I've been on the fence about this series, and now I think I might pick it up sometime.

Also glad you mentioned the presence of consent, as not every reviewer on the internet makes things clear as to whether or not there's non-con/rape in any given BL manga. I like BL, but would rather avoid stuff that squicks me whenever possible, which can sometimes be difficult :<

I've been curious about this title for a while now as well. Thanks for the review!

Quote:
While there are several sex scenes across the two books, this is not a particularly explicit series, but neither does Natsume resort to simply leaving blank spaces where genitals should be. (She's a fan of the well-placed leg instead.) It is graphic without being overly so, leaving enough to the imagination to make the series sexy but not raunchy.

I always appreciate when the reviewer lets the readers know how "steamy" a yaoi title will be. I'm going to sound like a real perv here, but I get bummed when I buy a yaoi title and discover that all it does is "fade to black" or show the characters smooch.

Thanks for mentioning the consent thing. Not enough reviewers think to bring it up, but it's the biggest barrier for me when considering a new BL title.

This one sounds cute. I think I'll give it a read when I get the chance.

Sadly this is only available in print. If only this was available on Kindle, I'd buy it.

Here-and-faraway I'm in the same boat as you, I get frustrated when a significant amount of the story is placed on a pairing getting together, or building for thier first time for it to be a next morning wake up after a kiss and some heavy petting.

This has been in my sights for a little while and the review was definately swayed me to pick it up but I will probably do so in the new year. I Also like the fact that it is a relatively short story but not a one shot; I can invest but it's still a quick read.

The premise sounded so cute and I was so thrilled to find out it was all consensual that I went on Amazon and bought it immediately. (I was also bummed to discover that it wasn't on Viz's manga app, but I guess Apple wouldn't let them put something with sex scenes on there.)

Even if the second volume is mainly taken up with a secondary romance, that romance sounds interesting enough in its own right. Or at least, like something that interests me. Romances between queer couples where one is out and the other isn't are always so sad!

Ditto for me - though that goes for most josei romances, unfortunately, regardless of the gender of the leads. I'm really glad that ANN has a reviewer who addresses the issue in her reviews. Smile

As a guy who likes traditional romances,I'm afraid I'm going to pass on this one. It's obviously not for me.

You're welcome! Consensual relationships tend to be very important to me in a story; not always make-or-break, but I definitely prefer them to non-con. And yes, I also get annoyed when there's a big build up with no payoff. Confused This was one of my favorite yaoi titles in a while, so I hope you all like it too.

LOL, yes, that is very subtle indeed!

This sound likes an adorable series, I'll definitely put it on my to-read list. The premise is one that I think I'd be interested in regardless of the gender, which is always nice to have in either yaoi or yuri fare.
