So happy to hear this news. Suikoden II is the hardest Suikoden to get a hold of in English yet is one of the best games in the series. I hope it will be set up still to use information from the first Suikoden for it if you have both from the PS store.

Didn't the original Suikoden get added to the Playstation Network as a PSOne Classic back in 2008? About 100% certain it wasn't last year, that's for sure.
Glad they're finally getting Suikoden II up there.

I still own the original PS1's for all of the Suikoden series. It's my first RPG (yes.. even before Final Fantasy.. though that was corrected after this series.. LOL). I might get it on the PS3 just because. I LOVE that series (especially the first 2).

Hmm, if Suikoden I is already a PSOClassic, then are they doing some bundle or remaster or port of the PSP duo? In any case, I hear 2 is quite great and I really need to nab more Suikoden games, so I'll definitely hop on this.

Or maybe it'll be accessible for Vita, since for now it's just for PS3 and PSP.

Suikoden I works with the Vita; you just have to transfer it over via the PS3 since it won't allow for direct download. That's what I had to do to get it work on my PS TV.

Ah, Suikoden II! This is a great RPG (and so is Suikoden III).
I just wish Japan could make a new Suikoden game that continues the plot of the 3rd game...

Nice, I've been hearing great things about this game, but it's always been hundreds of dollars online.
Side note, how often does Sony add older PSOne/PSP games to the PSN store, anyway? I've been using it for about a year, and this is the first time I remember them adding "new" old games.

Yeah, I know. But as someone who doesn't own a PS3, I'm hoping for it to be officially available for Vita.

I wouldn't say very often, but they recently added games like Vib-Ribbon, Strider 2, Megaman X4 and X5 and Namco Museum. PSOne-classics is definetely still a thing, but it doesn't seems to be their top priority.

The PSX release of Suikoden II had a number of glitches. Have they said whether those are fixed?

So does this mean real copies of this game (black label or greatest hits) won't be selling for around $200 now? (I recently bought the black label off of my brother for $50 just because I wanted it in my collection lol)

Probably not. It'd take too much time and effort. But you never know.

previously the ps1 original suikoden 2 sells for over 150 bucks bucks on ebay. its pretty rare. I was fortunately enough to buy the game when it first came out but now I'm sure the price is going to drop. I think ff7 is also coming to the psn as well

I managed to get a copy of Suikoden II accidentally marked at the price of the first Suikoden over a dozen years ago. disk only price too so it was only $15, then I found a copy for $35 a few years back which I got for my nieces (it really pays to keep an eye out at local secondhand stores sometimes). got the first Suikoden for them that day too, and Lunar and Lunar II and since they had a buy four get one free deal I got an anime box set too (unopened, amazingly). Suikoden II was the most expensive thing from the lot.
anywho... I'm happy as hell to see this is finally on the PSN. if this gets more people into the series it could help get a proper Suikoden VI come out. more fans wanting it and ready to pay for it. plus more people to gush over it with. you can only gush over it with the same group of people so often before things start getting repetitive and stale. gushing over it with new fans and being able to point out things they probably missed (like the possible Cthulhu mythos connection in Suikoden II) keeps it a little more fresh.
