Excellent news, i hope it gets licensed soon as well. I just hope that Lupin & Jigen's seiyuu won't be changed this time as that they're just too perfect given that Kyoshi Kobayashi has been playing the character since the original pilot. While Kanichi Kurita was given the role based on the request of the original Lupin seiyuu: Yasou Yamada before he passed away.

Humm now maybe it's time for similar treatment to Mazinger ?

I'm sure that they will cast Kanichi Kurita again, cause then this will be his second time doing the voice of Lupin for a Lupin TV series.

The art looks cool. I wonder if it will tonally be like the Fujiko Mine series?

I really didn't like the Mine Fujiko series, and I believe the recent TV specials have been bad too. I hope they go back to either the first or second series. Those two series are what made Lupin amazing in my opinion.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but has anyone heard of an air date yet for the new series? I've seen a few website saying spring 2015 TBA, but nothing official aside from the original press release stating the spring as well, dating back in October.

Any word of it would wind up in the News section. So if nothing has been mentioned since then all you can do is keep your eyes peeled for a News article on it eventually.
