So I turn on my TV today, tune to channel 18.3 (KSCI) expecting to find some 24/7 anime goodness, and instead get a message that goes something like this:
The Funimation Channel is no longer available because they have chosen not to renew their contract. More information is available at www.funimationchannel.com which of course, there is nothing on yet. Sadface. ![]() |

Geez. First Seattle now this. They're not too lucky with their digital subchannel deals.

Every time I tune to that channel, the kodocha is always playing with horrible quality. I really dislike that show but it's on every time I turn in (bad luck). I know this show turn a lot of people in my area off from the station.

oops I meant Kodacha, really annoying slapstick show. BTW, Funimation should have air DragonBall to help support the other show. |

actually, they were airing Dragonball on The Funimation Channel. They weren't airing DBZ, or GT, but they had the original on.
So it's still not back on in Los Angeles CA, and I can't find any announcements regarding it... perhaps the DTV thing isn't working out? Bah, Verizon FIOS isn't available in my area either, and I can't get ADV's Anime Network either. I wish someone had an answer... |

The only Anime channel, per se, in the US so far is ADV's Anime Network, which really isn't worth a lot. Other 'channels' are just programming blocks, recycling the same content over and over again. we also don't get shafted with Anime related things. We do get some really neat gems, such as Studio Ghibli films (nearly the entire range) in Cinemas, with a lot of other things too. |

I don't see what the big deal is because who needs it 24/7. If you have sattelite get the channel colours. There are four hours at night of a funimation section of the entire channel just like toonami and Adult Swim are to Cartoon Network. I mean isn't that the time frame everyone would watch because of school, work, hanging out with friends, etc. Now I don''t know what time zone that everyone is at so the time may be to late for your time zones. I'm in Colorado which is mtn. time so for me the shows start at 6:00 P.M. and end at 10:00P.M. so I figure that is a long enough time span because by that time for me I just go to Adult Swim so I'm normally set for every night. So like I said before get colours and at least have four hours of anime a night.
