Haha, parts of the storyline are even too extreme for mainstream Japan!!! (You can argue that TV standards have gotten stricter, but it probably STILL wouldn't have made the cut back in the day.)

Nabeshin made the last ep. of Excel Saga deliberately "unfit for broadcast" (mostly in the realm of violence and sex jokes) to sell it as a OAV, so it's not uncommon to see unfit items -- in the same vein, I doubt much hentai would ever have passed Japanese BSPs.

Yeah, well not everything is perfect in Japan. There been several shows I know that I know that had to be cut and the DVD had the uncut episodes.
And also it looks like this issue will never go away, just when you think it's gone there's breaking news about this series.

Wasn't an episode cut from Koi Kaze because it dealt with the topic of divorce? Rather odd for a show about incest, imo.

Folks, stop calling for the discussion threads on this subject to be immediately locked. I won't shut down discussion until it actually gets bad rather than pre-emptively silencing people on the matter.

That was more an expression of pessimism than a serious request.

There is a hentai by the same name, but it has nothing to do with Kaworu Watashiya's Kodomo no Jikan. They just have the same name. There was a link error on ANN a while back when the manga was orginally annouced IIRC.

I'm really starting to think that this series is nowhere near as innocuous as it's supporters have been making it out to be...
And one more thing, NO MORE NYMPHET NEWS!

I don't recall people claiming the series was "innocuous" but rather that it wasn't loli hentai or nearly as bad as other titles that had already been released.
And it's up ANN's staff if they want to have news about this series on the front page or not. If you want them to stop talking about the series, ask for a general vote on the issue and see if they'll do one like they did a while back regarding the OELs that were blatant mangasploitation. (Is that even remotely correctly spelled? )
This has become a controversial title and controversy is news worthy most of the time.
*Edited just because.

Well, I'm interested in finding out what made the episode "unairable".
