I'm curious as to who's named their pets after anime characters. I have a few:
Vicious, my cockatiel ala Cowboy Bebop.
Cracker Michael Sith, kitty Michael from What's Michael? (he looks so much like mike, it's crazy) and Sith ala Cait Sith FF7
Midnight Twilight Suzuka, doggie, Outlaw Star

I have a friend who named his cat Kuronekosama. After the black cat in Trigun. I haven't had a pet since my red Beta Fighting fish named Commendatore, after Il Commendatore himself: Enzo Ferrari. But I've had license plates on my MGB GT that read OZMS00 ordered, the type number for the Tallgeese, does that count for anything?

Hmmm, the closest was a cat I name Savie (sp) from Star Trek 2, the rest was normal cat names like Man Killer and Soul Eater.

Had a cat anmed Miaka... she was stolen by my roommate. It even turned out to be an apt name. My replacement cat, Chichiri, was adopted by my neighbors (are we seeing a pattern yet?). Now I have a gerbil who can't run away, and her name is Fuko.

I don't have any pets, but one of my closest friends has a dog that she named Yoji - after a character in Weiss Kreuz, I believe

Poor thing.

Bwa! Ha! Ha!
I fell out of my chair when I read this. How could someone do that to a poor defenseless animal?

my cat was named honda, but thats because we got the cat and the car in the same week.
i've vowed to always call a cat 'cat' from now on, but i occasionally use 'gato' or 'neko' if i feel the need for variety.
i don't like dogs so i usually use profanities for them.

Ppbbbfffff.... Damn, you've had funny comments in the past, but that just takes all the cakes in the bakery for the next fourteen years.
Side comment: LB, have you also noticed that virtually no one on this board ever gets your sarcasm? It's funny sometimes. Hell, if I had a pickle for everytime someone took you seriously, like the Perfect Blue post, I'd be drowning in stale vinegar by now.

Yoji (the dog) gets along much better with women than he does men. can't say much for the character he's named after since I've never seen the anime

I had a beta named Escaflowne a couple of years ago. I had his tank on my desk, and he seemed to love the theme to Vision of Escaflowne. It was the only one he would ever react to in a way that really did seem like play.
