no offense, but who came up with this poll? it's very juvenile.

I agree, the only if's it's subtitled was funny to read.
that wasn't my answer however, I chose NO. I can't believe those yeses are serious. However, reading this, I was thinking about Makoto from Genshiken... hehehe |

After carefully thinking about this for half a second. The answer is very easy. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. So sometimes. There is a alot of drama and headache that can come with the sex, so you have to take that into consideration. Where as my anime has yet to complain/demand/whine/demean. Then again my anime knows I can use that eject button(the anime equivalent to a shinner), or just use it over, and over, and over again(marathons). 
It all depends on how you chose your battles

I didn't even get as far as "Only if it's subtitled" before I voted, although that IS hilarious. My response was "Well, I prefer sex, but I get more anime... "

Wait a minute ...
If anime searches comprised 26% of all search terms, while sex searches comprised 16%, then the actual percentage comparison would be [(26/16)*100] - 100 = anime is 62.5% better than sex. I think the misleading thing is that the data is presented in units of percentages, which would deceive one into thinking you can just subtract the lower number from the higher number. But that's not true -- you still have to do a proper ratio comparison, treating it as if it were 26,000 anime searches vs. 16,000 sex searches. |

Yeah I actually guffawed when I read that option, and that people are voting that way is even funnier. I simply voted 'no.' And that is just because my longer answer would be too long and ridiculous to be an option. And for those who haven't seen it, we invite you into our "wonderful" discussion about this topic in the anime forum. Anime is better than sex |

My answer simply is: no. Although some anime makes socks spin in my feet and has me squirming with delight, I've yet see anime that would be better than a real orgasm. In fact, I can't think of many things in life generally that would be better than an orgasm.
But I would challenge people who voted yes to come and explain... I'm hoping it'll be funny

This was a hard poll to vote on, because honestly I just don't compare the two. Sex is a heavy, passionate act done by two people to show their devotion to one another (or for some of us, a dirty, raunchy act done by two people with a bone to pick...so to speak). Anime, on the other hand, is just something you sit back with a drink and just...observe...sometimes with friends you wouldn't want to have sex with.
One's a sensual, physical act, and the other's just sedentary chillin'. My preference for one or the other simply depends on what I'm in the mood for; it's all a matter of which itch I feel like scratching (though that one time we did it while watching Perfect Blue was pretty surreal...). I just voted "both about the same," as it was the closest to my rationale, I think. |

I voted "I don't know yet, ask me in a few years" since, well. . . I'm still a virgin. Although I wish they'd left out the "in a few years" part of that option. Makes me feel a tad odd being 24 and "innocent."
I was tempted to vote "Well, I prefer sex, but I get more anime..." but decided I shouldn't until I actually have the experience to make a proper comparison. |

I chose no.
Anime, personally speaking, does not give me any physical, emotional, and mental fulfillment as sex does. Though it does give me, at times, mental fulfillment, I believe sex is better than anime. 
And... I have to say I was kinda surprised to see ANN have this poll.

Sex is short-term pleasure, no matter how good it is, while anime has the potential to stick with you. Of course, there are many anime that only present temporary enjoyment, so I had to vote "Sometimes".

After a recent survey came out showing that anime is more searched then sex, the question became that anime fans like anime more then sex.
Its good to know that the fine folks here at ANN have a sense of humor. And for the record I actually like my sex dub in English....
Also as for the current results I am a little surprised that people are getting more anime then sex. I would try to change that after coming to that realization. |
