Finally. I was starting to think that Funimation might not release Cowboy Bebop this year. I hope we get more details very soon. I also hope the special editions are nice; I would want to buy one of those.

I think I remember the JP BDs had some interlacing issues and all of the digital animation sequences didn't scale so well, but other than those small gripes, the picture quality is obviously much improved over DVD. I'm more interested in seeing Escaflowne get its BD release here.

Yeah, I hope the special edition is good, would definitely put in the extra cash for Bebop.

I was beginning to think that none of those Sunrise license rescues were going to get released. At any rate, this is definitely something I want to check out.

Meh, even if it does come with a lot of cool stuff i'm certain Funimation will screw something up. If they stretch the aspect ratio I will LOL hard.
They been dun goofin' hard for a while now, and I can just see them taking the prize with this one, seeing how well recieved it is in the west.
But on the off chance that they actually release this smoothly, many fans will be pleased !

Defiantly interested in buying the special editions, though I bet the Funiamtion.com premium box set will have more and better extras than the Amazon version, so they can charge the highest premium rate like a Aniplex USA release. It's not a crime, but I'm just not a fan of their push toward Funimation.com as a business.

While I didn't really like the series, this is great news. Glad to see the series finally returning to the West.

Might order the Amazon one when it comes out. As it will probably be a decent price. Just hope Amazon learns to package stuff correctly between now and then.

They've stated on a recent ANNcast that the reason it's taking so long is due to getting the clearances on stuff. Much like the Geneon stuff taking so long, they're basically having to start fresh on getting clearance on stuff.
I'm actually surprised they got this quick of a turnaround on it's release for Bebop.
