Oh joy, a normal boy meets a mysterious girl who is part of a world that has lots of gobbledy-gock terminology. I would if the girl is tsundere for the boy

Well this seems unique & original so i'm pumped!
.. Or not.
Unless this is character driven (which i highly doubt it will be) by likeable and interesting characters I can't see myself getting into this.
I just have this odd feeling that i've experienced such a story a couple of times in the past...

If there's an anime adaptation, I'll watch it.

Did the Shana anime have the same ending as the LNs?
Anyway, this does sound generic. Many LNs, manga, and anime have similar troupes...so it does come down to the execution. Hope it does well for them.

As unoriginal as this sounds... I'll probably watch the anime version (if it gets made of course). I never did get past Shana season one because it seems kind of long now but hey this summer maybe I'll get around to it.
And Ito is still one of my favorite character artists to emerge from the moe boom so that helps.

Im not totaly sure but I think it did actually. There were huge gabs between the 3 seasons. And season 3 ended like 1 year after the LN ended. So its a save bet.
Even if it doesnt sound so orginal im excited to hear he is starting a new LN series. Shakugan no Shana is one of my most favorite anime so any possible future new anime adaption from this author works I;ll totaly support and wait for.

The things that strikes me the most about this is that the title of this series isn't a [expletive] sentence. That alone would almost give it merit for me to see the first episode when it inevitably does get an anim-

Ok, wait never mind...
That said I'll give it it's chance but I while I did like some parts of shana I wasn't the biggest fan of it either, that and my patience for technobable terminology series like these have thinned over the years. If anything the best I would get out of this series is to see more illustrations from Ito.

Yes it is. Shana S2 is half anime original but S1 and S3 are true to LNs.

Gotta admit though, at least the 2 main leads built up into a decent relationship, and it was cool to have the final epic battle to have Shana and Yuuji pitting against each other.

I agree Yuuji and Shana did build up a decent relationship... and then S3 happened, and the less said about S3 the better. If that season was faithful to the LNs, then that makes me even more worried because that was one of the most astounding examples of a franchise s**ting the bed that I have ever seen.

You won't bhe saying so if j.C./Staff didn't butched S2. Because of this a lot of things from S3 didn't get proper explanation

Ah, okay. Thanks. I mainly ask because I didn't enjoy s3 at all.

Certainly felt like that. s3's story of Yuuji doing what he sets out to do...seemed so abrupt. It also didn't even feel like the same series anymore.
I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons. Obviously, since I never read the books, I've not idea about the ways s2 strayed away from the book. s3 just ruined the whole thing for me.
