Already? Woah.
Not that I didn't enjoy it, I did.
But it was a bit lacking, like in the Godzilla area.

Oh, good, I want to see Godzilla doing pop songs in a shopping mall!

I thought Legendary is done with WB?
Meh, I guess they won't let Universal enjoy this newfound gold mine that is Godzilla franchise.

I saw it. It was ok nothing mind blowing. The movie sort of harkens back to original Godzilla movies which was kind of cool. Do I need a sequel? Eh, not really. Maybe in another 15 years we can have another one.

Saw it Saturday in IMAX 3D, was a great "Large Popcorn" flick which I haven't seen one in a long time.
If they want to make a sequel, or sequels, I will be in line with my money in hand.

Saw it over the weekend and really enjoyed it.
The only negative thing I will say is that there was too much focus on the MUTO monsters and not enough on Godzilla. He was more of a secondary character.
If a sequel can change that, then I'm all in!

This one was kind of an "introduction" to Godzilla and other monsters type of story. So sequels could expand on it, if done right would be good.
I liked how Godzilla was kind of the "good guy", protecting humanity from the other monsters (even if for his own interests) as he was in some of the Toho films. And not just a lumbering dumb beast just causing carnage and has to be destroyed. That and how the female MUTO at lest in some shots had a guy in a suit feel to how it looked.
I also liked the bit about how the nuclear bomb tests were not tests but attempts to kill "Godzilla". But then it also kind of went against the "We just discovered them." feel of the story.

Yeah wasn't surprised this was announced, this movie is a box-office hit and I knew a sequel would be made as soon as this movie became a hit. Can't wait to see what the plot of the sequel will be. I'll be seeing the movie on Saturday.

Now that the introductions are over and the measured big reveal of the new look, the sequels should see more Godzilla from end to end - kinda like the Jurassic Park sequels after their intros and big reveal.

I find this funny after getting into a discussion with mother this morning after she heard the news about how critics said the movie stunk. I had to laugh at my mom because she stated they should give "Godzilla justice since we grew up with him". She's right. Yet, she's later telling me that she never cared for it. Can't believe it seemed like I was arguing with my mother over a damn movie. Did the movie have good special effects? Yes. Did it have collateral damage? Yes. Did it have a monster to be feared? Yes. Did it have 'Big G'? Yes. But folks want MORE 'BIG G'. HEAR THAT HOLLYWOOD!! Though I didn't expect a sequel. Hopefully when they do the next movie, try to pace the script out better so you get more 'G' fighting goodness. Anyone who has grown up with 'G' movies or at least taken the time to study both new and old should have figured out the formula on how a 'G' film is supposed to be done.

That could be the plot. A three way fight between Godzilla, MechaGodzilla, and jaeger's. And in the end, Godzilla and the jaegers have to team up to take down MechaGodzilla.
