The manga has a lot more mature content but still, sad to see this end soon ;.;

So, From the New Boobs manga is ending. I liked the anime a lot but never cared for this manga. I would be more interested in the original novel if it is ever translated.

I guessed this wouldn't be a long series and I'm glad I was proven correct. I like the manga but much like the manga it doesn't need to be drawn out (actually saying that I felt that the anime would have been better with a few fewer episodes).

Glad to hear they are not going to drag it out.

It could have been a nice adaptation, after all it had some information the anime did not ([big time spoiler]spoiler[such as Squealer recovers the biological library and that is how he is able to get his tribe to advance so quickly and learn the secret of their creation]), but their decision to take the low ecchi route (as in "hooray BOOBS...and LESBIAN ACTION" not mature sexuality) really took the manga down.

I like how this manga looks like it was blessed by Yabuki-sensei.

Never was interested in the manga, was put off that they focused on the ecchi content, rather than the story. Will be very interested in a LN translation for from the new world though. I seem to remember a company saying they'd consider translating if they got enough interest.

The original novel is itself 953 pages long.

Yep. The manga is a trainwreck. But know i learned something. Translating an awardwinning 900 page book is hard, releasing its porn doujinshi is easy. Thank you Vertical.

I really don't understand how Vertical thinks it's economically better to release the manga than the novel when every single post on the internet I've seen about it is people saying that they'd greatly prefer the novel.

That's a genuine question BTW. If Vertical Ed or anyone else in the know is around I'd really like to hear what the reason is, what's creating such a weird situation.

Because translating novels is stupendously expensive. Well more than ten times the cost of translating the manga, which means that - roughly -- the manga can sell a tenth as much as the novel and still be more profitable.

Because wank material sells. Hell, just look at how much of a killing Seven Seas has made with that Monster Musume series. And as mentioned, translating a novel of that length would be ridiculously expensive and has very low chances of profitability.
