The Japanese voice work is largely unremarkable.

That's not surprising.

no translated Japanese cast credits

I'm curious, how is this a con exactly?

There might be hope for older skewing Marvel animation yet.

Hey Madhouse. Deadpool Max. Take all my money if you make that.

Geez, this sounds like a disappointment if they really squandered Black Widow's character compared to the Punisher.

Can you (or anyone that has the release) take a screencap of the Japanese cast credit roll? I'll add them to the Encyclopedia.

Brian Bloom has a tonne of VA credits, as in most of his professional resume is VA credits, just no anime.

The guy was the official VA for Captain America for a while (including the entire run of A:EMH), and was Varric in Dragon Age 2, amongst dozens of other credits.

I can't do the Madhouse Marvel stuff... I tried watching that Iron Man series, and it was just bad. Not only did they just give Tony a basic concept personality (okay so he's a rich playboy asshole who has a couple of morals. Got it. Oh, he has a girlfriend? Yeah she won't be acknowledged in this one.) but the face close ups where the only animation involved moving his mouth to talk was just terrible. If I'm going to be invested in a show that does that, I need some damn atmosphere to counter that shit.

I really wish Marvel could steal some of the WB people who work on the DC animated projects, or at least get freaking Disney to do something similar. These "anime" projects are a total snooze fest.

I've been wondering for a while if they got the same Japanese cast from the previous films. Fujiwara Keiji is one of my favorite seiyuu, and I really liked his portrayal of Tony Stark.

It'll take multiple screencaps, as the credits list is quite lengthy and I have no idea where the cast listing is in it. I will email them to you.

And what's your point? I don't think people are going to be dying to watch this in Japanese first.

cause there are a crapload of sub pursuits that will seriously gripe about it.

though i was kinda surprised that soap guy was used instead of the actor from the Punisher:War Zone movie cause he definitely sounded liked it.

Regardless, this movie was a lot more decent of the madhouse/marvel projects, though the X-men and Iron Man TV series were a lot more better.

This is just something I've wondered, but you really don't like Japanese voices on Marvel characters, do you? Not trying to you call you out on it or anything, just saying. XD

I assure you that 99% of non-American viewers will take the Japanese dub over the American one, as the english-speaking voice actors are nobodies to us. It may sound rude, but it's just a fact.

Black Widow, for instance, is voiced by freaking Miyuki Sawashiro, like in the Iron Man movie. That alone is a reason to watch it in Japanese.

That seems like a strange assurance, given that 99% of non Americans would include the likes of the British and Canadians far before the Japanese. I have a sneaking suspicion they will also go for the English voice before the Japanese.

I actually have the opinion that most of the world would go for the English over the Japanese when it comes to something like this.
