well give looking on cast list is quite experiment casting mix-ture due some them upcoming fresh next era anime dub voices.
rojas, lee, apprill, nash, haley, & moore really indeed Funi going experiment on new batches of anime dub voices. give there grelle, tipton, tia, felecia, tatum, & glass. overall yea keep an hearing on next generation of anime dubs voices in all upcoming dubs from each of main 4 rosters. |

I cringed.
That was bad. Especially Tohka, Shido and Kotori. Origami and Kurumi were decent. But man, if you were to put information in the trailer, (a) actually put correct information and (b) don't put spoilers. Music didn't go all that well either. |

You can see how desperate they are. They put in so many swimsuit scenes, that only happen in the final 3 episodes. They really want to get as many people to buy this for the boobies.
PS: Never put spoilers in the trailer. Geez. |

Yeah, the dub acting sounds mismatched all to hell, and probably the translated script won't be exceptional either. Seeing as the promo didn't show off the "good scenes" maybe the performance will surprise me for a dub but I wouldn't bet on it. As for the promo music, I usually hand wave it but certainly this is an instance that it is more on the annoying end. |

I'm not going to watch the trailer to avoid possible spoilers but honestly I'd watch this in dub regardless of knowing how it sounds. Also, Alexis Tipton is casted, which makes me happy ^^

Having seen DaL before I don't see what you guy's are talking about with spoilers. Everything mentioned was the basic plot and setting.

So this is Funimation's version of The World God only Knows (loser male protagonist is aided by girl in his quest to seduce girls in order to "save teh world")?
If the artstyle were better than this might be more appealing. The dub in the trailer didn't wow me but Joel McDonald hasn't "done me wrong" before and, besides, the worse a dub sounds in a Funimation trailer the better the actual dub is.
If by that you mean "sound incredibly forced and awkward, like they're in a stage play", which is to say Bang/Zoom style, then that is a good thing. |
