Wait what's the issue? Adults kiss their significant other all the time. Or did this adult homeroom teacher kiss a 12 year old student? Then that would be an issue. Too bad there aren't any scanlations yet. |

That's what I'm wanting to know as well and maybe some kids in japan are sheltered off seeing their parents kiss. Still this is just a manga not a actual representation of real-life so who knows. |

Not in every country kissing (especially between female and male, or lip-to-lip) is a usual thing to be seen in daily life. Well, it's in movie and anything else, but still real event in real life is different. |

I'm going to guess it's a deeper, more adult kiss than she'd be used to seeing outside of movies. Probably reveals a side of the teacher she wasn't aware of and uncomfortably expanded her view of them, too. |

Well as long as the kiss was between consenting adults and mouth-to-mouth then I don't see what the big deal is.

Japanese spouses don't typically outwardly show affection.
True, however given the number of couples in manga and anime that openly display affection (often in a public setting), I'm kind of suspicious that many Japanese couples (particularly the women), wish this wasn't the case (at least on some level). While anime and manga are fictional portrayals, fiction often reflects the desires and wishes of the authors as well as the readers, much like the dreams we have when we sleep can occasionally be seen as the subconscious mind's way of fulfilling a desire or wish we can't achieve in real life. For example, I often dream of flying under my own power, totally unachievable in real life. That's my take, at least. |
