I like how whenever someone does something really fun and interesting and people just always assume they do it because they're bored or they can't find something else that's "productive".

What the ??!!! Putting a fictional places that isn't even exist in real life for auction and people are actually putting money on to this, I don't even....
EDIT: after reading the article the 2nd time, I realized that there's no real betting on this. Hence the strikeout on my statement about people putting bet on this.

They had me on board until I saw the price. Not the $100,000 but the 228 bowls of ramen...
This leads me to think that food prices are off the charts over there. Does Konoha village even have a restaurant with the caliber of a Masa or Heichinrou?

If it's up on the website, that means someone was assigned to do this. Figuring out the value of fictional properties IS their job (or at least part of it.)

Where did it say it's up for auction or that people are putting money on it.

FWIW, I'd never heard of Movoto before this. Neat!

Looks like that was a lot of fun to research and I must say Naruto's fairly lucky to have an apartment that expensive for free . I wish more companies would be a little more light hearted at times.

When I read the website, I thought (and assumed) people are actually putting money into something that doesn't exist in real life, after reading it the 2nd time I came to realize no one is putting any bet into this pseudo-auction. So I will edit my statement.

A bunch of sites that have never covered this company are now going to run stories linking back to them. It's a pretty smart advertising play for something fun that likely didn't divert resources from their usual work.

That seems like a lot for a bare bones apt, but maybe Konoha is a pricey place to live.

Having gone to the website, they run a lot interest columns about "how many x would you need to do y to your house" or about fictional locations like Bag End's or the Overlook Hotel's real-estate prospects. Yes someone was assigned to it, it's something this firm obviously does to get views and hopefully business. This Naruto article was not special in that regard, they cover a lot of nerdy topics.

I like the rest of the properties they have listed on the site. Apparently you'd have to lay down about $6 billion to buy The Lonely Mountain.
