For those whom are wondering since when did Hasbro ever dub anime is on ALL of the ZOIDS shows along with ShoPro. (Though I've heard that they actually dubbed it by themselves according to CrystalAcids.) I wonder if Hasbro actually dubbed anime more often would it be for the better? Or worse?

Before the dubs on Zoids recently appeared Bandai was the only toy-making company that makes anime dubs. If Hasbro really got into the anime dubbing business would it go great? Or no?

I don't know why but for some strange reason I am curious as if Hasbro would make a good dubbing company or not.

Umm...according to Crystalacids, Hasbro never dubbed any of the "Zoids" series. They simply released them. And Bandai doesn't dub any of its series either; it hires outside studios do dub their properties for them.

Dubbing is handled by separate companies (unless you have an in-house recording studio like ADV's Industrial Smoke & Mirrors). Some of the more well-known dubbing studios are AniMaze, Bang Zoom!, and the Ocean Group. None of these studios are "owned" by any of the anime distrubutors such as Bandai, Pioneer, etc.

Hasbro has been said to be the RELEASE studio, Ocean Group & AniMaze and the like are the ones whom do the voices. The VA studioes aren't the main ones in charge of how the dub goes the release studios are. (Well that and network censors when it comes to TV but thats a different story.)

Hasbro has been making US toons for their toys for a while. With them realizing that co-producing anime is way cheaper and still gets similar ratings, they've decided that's the way to go. I'd expect them to bring more anime over to the US (starting with Transformers: Energon), but I don't see them going outside stuff made specifically for their toylines.

From what I've seen, JN Productions is a translator (as in "Inuyasha" and "Ceres: Celestial Legend"), not a dubbing studio. Have they done anything else that CrystalAcids hasn't listed yet?

Actually Hasbro just tells the companies what they want, but they don't actually do the dubbing (as you suggest in your first post). Hasbro part in all of their animation is purly supervisory. Hasbro doesn't own an animation studio, they don't own a recording studio, and they don't own a writing team. Everything is contracted out to other companies, Hasbro tells them what they want and they do it.

BTW, you really can't limit Bandai to being just a toy company, they're an entertainment giant covering everything from animation, video games, toys and just about everything in between.

Zoids Zero and Fuzors maybe but I don't consider Zoids Chaotic Century/Guardian Force as kids anime. Its more for young teens to adults if you ask me. Its alot more serious, mature & darker than Zero & Fuzors. Anyone that has seen it knows that.

I don't know any kid that likes Chaotic Century, they all says its boring and just watch Zero for its brainless action. I know tons of adults that love Chaotic Century.

According to CA, they also did some of the scriptwork namely the editor as well I mean see here...

http://www.sekiria.com/database/writer/hasbro_inc.html

Though IIRC, their really co-working with ShoPro on the Zoids Dubs even though CA says otherwise.

And the dubs their in are already better than the ones 4Kids has done already... And besides now that 4Kids is no where near as rich as they use to be, Hasbro is probably now the richest company ever truly involved with anime dubs on US TV (And besides there is that upcoming G.I Joe Anime OVA in the near future as well.)

I wouldn't really trust Hasbro with any established anime.

I do remember what happened to the recent Transformers shows (well Armada that is since the changes on Energon are not that big a deal to me), however the dubwork on the Zoids shows were genuinely good IMO.
