Hopefully when they reprint vol 30 they won't cheap out on the paper quality. If feels like one of Viz's cheap Bleach 3 in 1's.

Volume 30 is in stock with Right Stuff. The prints I've received so far have been the same quality as before although they may have not have been from this print.

The one you have must be from a subsequent print run. The one I have is of noticeably lesser quality than any other volume. I think I remember reading somewhere that DH was trying out something different with that particular volume. Glad it didn't stick.

Ah really, I have the rest of the series being delivered from Right Stuff... I suppose I can put up with a lesser quality compared to paying the OOP prices.

RAmmsoldat - I know ha, trying to explain to my best friend how the prices get to be so high is hilarious. In his eyes they are just ink and paper.

Almost a year ago, I was one of the people paying slightly higher prices for Volumes 27-33, probably around $25 a volume because NOBODY had any volumes in stock for over a year. To me, paying $10 more over the MSRP was worth it.
This is really great news because Berserk is one of the very few manga series, I actually pre-order and purchasae every single volume. Minus the really corny back cover, Dark Horse does a great job with the manga, with good quality paper and I feel the translation is also excellent.
Awesome news and even though I bought the 37th tankoban, can't wait to get Dark Horse's edition (which I've already preordered) and read it in English.

Just did some searching and it looks that mid-November is the expected reprint date of the volumes that have been either low stock or out of print.
Good chance to get this series for a very good price. I believe RS, has the volumes for around $11 - the Got anime discount and you're going to be less than $10 per volume. Pretty sweet deal.

Just picking at terminology here.
Out of Print means forget seeing it unless another publisher picks it up. I think the term you want is Out of Stock, and delays can be short or long before there is a new printing.
Glad to hear the series is doing well enough to have more printing done.

Not sure what "nearly all" means? but I'm glad to see it's gonna be a little easier for newer fans to pick up.

Well... I'm a fan of Berserk, slowly going through the series - but I'm not too impressed with some of the translations. "The knight of skeleton!" anyone?
