I know people will whine about the censored content, but I'm just happy we're getting it at all. I figured there was no chance after the lackluster sales the first one had due to everyone refusing to buy it because of it being censored.

Yeah, censoring never helps sales. I bought the first game, never finished it, because my hands are not as good as they used to be, and I find it really hard to use a console controller. So it is the PC for me.
Glad it made enough over here, for the sequel to be brought over. |

I was afraid they'd be doing edits again.
I'll still buy it, because I'm just glad it's getting licensed. But all the same, I'm still kind of disappointed, and I'm sure that the censorship is bound to impact sales negatively. |

Which is being cut from the English release, like the first game. Thank god for that too. I'm not a fan of censorship but that had me disturbed. I'm just glad they were able to sell it period. Sad that people don't think the same. |

The game itself was fine.. Its pretty much what you'd expect from a Compile Heart game. NISA has a good relationship with them so most Compile Heart games will get released over here. |

When are companies going to learn that censoring and editing releases is a BAD way to do business.
I don't consider fans asking and expecting that companies treat them as individuals that can make their own judgement calls (in terms of what is and isn't appropriate), as opposed to helpless individuals that are unable to do so and have to be "shielded" from "objectionable content" to be "whining". |

Its a different market. In Japan where violence isn't as accepted, you have major titles like Gears of War and Fallout censoring decapitations, for example. America is against sexual material, so because of the game ratings, sometimes you need to make edits.

1. It's still inappropriate and a bad way to do things. 2. You didn't respond to the second half of my post. |

It's not really an entirely different market. The majority of people who would even think of buying a title brought out by NISA are already huge fans of Japan/anime/etc and are completely immune to most things Japan do that normal Americans wouldn't accept. |

well fallout 3 had it's reasons for the edits such as the nuke megaton quest and the weapon fat-man "that was the name of the bomb we dropped on Nagasaki". So in all fairness I can see why they would want to censor that. However on the case of mugen souls after watching the video with the bathing scenes of rubbing banana's across a loli's face and along the cg sets of the characters in "near nude" or "provocative poses" you can unlock. Nisa had to cut or censor in some format to for a western release. Warning video is NSFW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sraAcJjy-w |

Pretty much. However, I would replace "immune" with "open-minded".
Saw the video. Still feel that the censorship is unacceptable (especially when you take into account what razisgosu stated). |

Fair enough. Personally I consider myself immune to just about anything at this point, the internet has corrupted me. |
