PETA keeps digging a deeper hole, eventually the sides will collapse in on it and ... well ... you know.

Awesome, I loved the first one.

Edit: Wait a freaking second: why does the guy in the REAL world have a Jigglypuff?

...Oh-ho-ho, PETA's doing this again? After the cease-and-desist that Nintendo dropped on 'em for Pokémon: Black and Blue"? And what's this, they're arguing that there's a link between Pokémon's message as a franchise and the fast food industry?

Having actually played this game, I'll hand it to 'em: it's almost like they have a point. It's just a shame that, you know, Pokémon games actively encourage empathy towards your Pokémon and constantly cast people who "enslave" Pokémon in a negative light.

I'll give PETA a golf-clap for this one.[/url]

Animal Rights Activism is a good cause, but I fear that PETA is giving all the rest of them a bad name. Kind of like the Westboro Baptist Church, and actual Christians.

PETA is cancer.

Maybe now McDonald's and Nintendo can join forces and sue PETA into oblivion.

I have an associate degree in Biotech and a huge knowledge in Biology and I do better animal rights activism then PETA. I wrote a blog on IGN why PETA should be hated with a passion. I can tell you something about PETA that a lot of you might not know:

-The founder, Ingrid Newkirk, and Alex Pacheco don't have any Biology degree (neither PH.D) or any background in Biology. None of the members have any Biology degrees.

-PETA has spent virtually nothing to buy land for wildlife, to sponsor wildlife restoration or wildlife research, habitat conservation, species protection, game law enforcement or anything else. PETA provide money to ALF and ELF, a designated terrorist by the FBI.

-PETA despite caring for animal, kill them if they are not good.

-PETA has never teamed up with real animal defender like ASPCA or Wildlife Conservation Society.

-PETA is hypocrite when it comes to several species of animal. Like for example, they complain about elephants appearing in a video game, yet I never heard of PETA going to Africa and stopping poachers from killing elephants and Rhinos. Also PETA care about whales but somehow allowed sharks to be killed. They don't even give a damn about endangered species like the dhole or the Siberian Tiger.

If people would quit shining a light on PETA whenever they do stuff like this...maybe, just maybe, PETA would quit doing stuff like this! Confused

According to the HBO documentary "I Am An Animal", if a dog is too sick to take care of, they resort to euthanasia (put them to sleep).

You know, this is quite ridiculous because I think all Pokemon games are against Pokemon abuse. If anything, I found the first parody game really ridiculous because they marked Ash/Satoshi as the bad guy, while Ghetsis is the good guy. (Not that I ever played it, I read about it in tvtropes)

This why I don't donate to them, it seem like they wasting time and money on parodies. Also PETA, Humans are omnivores. Eating meat isn't bad, but I do agree that we should treat animals more better
Anyway, this story is way better then that game
A young man, callow and foolish in

innocence, came to own a sword.

With it, he smote Pokémon, which gave

sustenance, with carefree abandon.

Those not taken as food, he

discarded, with no afterthought.

The following year, no Pokémon

appeared. Larders grew bare.

The young man, seeking the missing

Pokémon, journeyed afar.

Long did he search. And far and wide,

too, until one he did find.

Asked he, "Why do you hide?"

To which the Pokémon replied...

"If you bear your sword to bring

harm upon us, with claws and

fangs, we will exact a toll.

"From your kind we will take our

toll, for it must be done.

"Done it must be to guard ourselves

and for it, I apologize."

To the skies, the young man shouted

his dismay.

"In having found the sword, I have

lost so much.

"Gorged with power, I grew blind

to Pokémon being alive.

"I will never fall savage again.

This sword I denounce and forsake.

"I plead for forgiveness,

for I was but a fool."

So saying, the young man hurled the

sword to the ground, snapping it.

Seeing this, the Pokémon disappeared

to a place beyond seeing...

I support animal rights (especially for pets), but not PETA. They give animal rights activists a bad name, and are the Westboro Baptist Church of animal rights activists. I'd avoid giving them any sort of attention since that's clearly what they're after.

Also, how does Pokemon harm animals? It's a video game first of all. No animals are harmed to produce a video game. Second, the "animals" in Pokemon are fictitious. Third, the video games, card game, and TV show promote caring for your Pokemon like you would a friend. Has Ash eaten Pikachu yet?
