Any word of whether this will bring the dub included?

Hopefully this means we'll also see the BD elsewhere... although we still don't have Tokyo Godfathers on BD and it's been out for a year in Japan.

Btw CD Japan says this edition will only have Japanese audio and no subs, as usual with Kon releases.

I hope this is not the case, especially as the Japanese DVD has subs.

So this film is noted for visual issues, I definitely wouldn't have noticed them when I watched it years ago, but I wonder how the BD will present the final result.

Coming from someone who prefers dubs, this film's dub is a disaster.

Wonderful!

All right, Funimation (or dare I dream, Criterion) get on this!

I didn't even know this film had an English dub. Wanted to get the DVD for it a few years ago, but never did because it was sub only. Checking the ANN encyclopedia, I now see that a U.K. dub was produced for it. Hopefully, if the BD is picked up for release in North America, an English dub will be included, even if it ends up being a new one.

Ghost: It won't get picked up, because Dreamworks is run by A-holes who only licensed MA in the first place, so they could crib scenes for Memoirs of a Geisha. So the only version of the film we'll be stuck with for a while is the no-frills bargain bin edition. Though it would be nice if their rights to it, the live-action Casshern, and GITS 2, expired by now.

For people who don't know, this is a truly amazing film. Probably my favorite of Satoshi Kon's work.

Finally! I've waited YEARS for this; I can only hope *someone* brings it over. Funnily enough, I never knew til now that it had a dub. o_O

Glad to see that film is now on Blu-ray. Any film directed by the late Satoshi Kon is a must have for any anime collection. I still a wait for any news on The Dream Machine film. I know it might be a long wait due to its production not having the required budget to finish the needed animation shots. But hopefully sometime in this life time it will be completed.
