It's worth noting that in the same event a new game in the series was announced as a last surprise. No date, name or platform has been announced.

I wonder when they'll announce a sequel to Victory.

Huh, I'm surprised as mk2 has only been out for a few years. I hope the first one comes here to the US because while the game storyline was stupid fun, the battle system sucked and it will be fun to play it on an improved battle system.

Ximpalullaorg is exactly right. The last photo in the Dengeki Online article says so.

I mentioned the same thing on Siliconera, only to have my post promptly removed.

I thought Siliconera was supposed to be a news organization.

It seems that the English-language news outlets are using this article as a reference (which doesn't include the new game info, so far as I'm aware), rather than this one (which does). Hence the lack of additional data posted.

Im surprised they're making so many games in this series, I mean the story is all over the place and the gameplay is lacking Sad

The new game is a PSVita game as well with Noir as the main character.

Victory's gameplay is perfectly fine for a turn-based JRPG. I'm not sure what you are expecting from it.

As for the storyline, it has its ups and downs, but Victory was quite strong in that department. The anime has done a good job of adapting both Mk2 and Victory.

Also "why are they making more of this thing I don't like" isn't really a useful contribution to, well, anything.

I'm sorry but that's not true. I was following the event and after everyone left, someone (I believe it was Shingo Onodera, Re;Birth1's director) got back saying to wait and opening a sealed envelope in which it was written that a new game was under development.
The Noire game was discussed during the event, after someone "casually" mentioned there was a Noire figure on the table, among the ones Compile Heart put in Limited editions of the other games.
