So will they keep Stroheim in the U.S. edition? And does this mean the anime got picked up?

He isn't playable in the game yet, but he's added and there's controversy over it in the west, I'm going to laugh my ass off.

Well, Wolfenstein was considered controversial, and you blow away Nazis in that series.

It's not BAD per se, but Namco Bandai added in some stupid pay as you go feature to scam more money out of players. Hopefully their smart and they patch that for the US release, cause no way would that fly over well here.

Well, I guess it's time to get a PS3. Besides, I still haven't played The Last of Us or Hyperdimension Neptunia

They already patched that for the Japanese version so the wait for campaign mode to charge isn't incredible long.

Thing is, this game won't make a lick of sense unless you've read the Jojo manga. I can see it being moderately successful to those who are just casual fighting game fans and don't care otherwise.
What I'm REALLY worried about is the English cast and whether they will fit their respective roles. For all we know, Will A. Zeppelli may end up sounding like a Jersey grunt while Joseph Joestar will sound like Charlie Sheen.
Furthermore, you have characters and stands named after music bands. There is a very high chance that the majority of the names will have to get changed to avoid lawsuits.
No matter which way you slice it, the game is going to generate controversy.

Parodies and homages are protected by copyright law. It's no different than the US sitcom The Big Bang Theory making Star Wars and Comic Book references.

That won't stop companies from taking precautions though. Even Capcom felt it necessary to change the names of some of the Jojo characters when it released the arcade game over here.
I would love to be proven wrong in this instance but I still have my doubts.

Well that's good and unexpected news ! Though i already bought the JP version
Well if the game is unedited, has the Japanese voices and more important released on physical format then i'll be more than glad to support the US/European release

The only one they changed was Vanilla Ice to merely Iced.
Also, please let this lead to the anime airing here. On Adult Swim. With Roundabout.
