Yeah. I picked up a copy of Protoculture Addicts 89 on Monday at B&N in Merced, CA. It's pretty nice. I definately like how it's not like Newtype USA or Anime Insider. Will PA increase the number of issues per year now that it can be found at a major retailer?

I'm sure they'll have to test the waters first. Anime Insider and Newtype are pretty stiff competition. |

sweet. I'll check over the weekend maybe. The only place I was ever able to find it was at Tower Records (RIP).

I'm not familiar with PA, but Newtype was a major disappointment; what good is knowing what is playing in Japan this week going to do for someone in North America today? Sure, give me a page or two of information about what's coming out years from now but don't fill so much of the magazine with news I can't use. Only downloading parasites are likely to benefit from knowing what's being made available to fansubbers this Thursday. Anyway, congrats to PA on getting some more exposure. Maybe one of these days you'll end up in airports, which is where I happen to buy most of my magazines. |

I thought it was cool to read up on that stuff. What's big over there, get info on japanese series and movies and TV shows that have yet (or never will) to come out here. It was a cool look at the pop culture scene over there. Then they axed all that, and jacked the price up. Granted they added like 3 more episodes and a whole bunch more previews to their DVDs, but in the end, I just dont care about that. |

Now they just need to start distributing at Chapters and Canadians will be happy.

I just actually bought this last night in my local B&N which I visit nearly everyday and yesterday 1/16 was first day that I actually saw in stores. So I picked one up and can't wait to read later tonight when I get home from school and work.

Guess I'll have to check out my local Barnes and Noble to see if they have it then.
[OT] Grekomon, I just have to ask this, are you a wrestler by chance? |

1. No. I'm not a wrestler. 2. Where did that come from? |

Your name Greko, is a common misspelling of a type wrestling, know as Greco-Roman. Several stars (like Randy Couture) from the UFC came from this back ground of wrestling. |

Really? I've been to quite a few Chapters and have never seen it. The Chapters near me even has a huge manga section and they don't carry it. |
