O_o damn, wish I had money to go see this... Even if it's the Japanese audio (which I don't really like for GITS:SAC)

Looks like I'm going to have to be there for sure. I'm really excited about this. New York has been getting a few choice events over the last year and I think the response to each of those events have been very good. I hope it continues.

Is it licensed yet?
Since Togusa stars, I'm eager for it to hit the US, gives us more Crispin Freeman!

I believe so since Bandai Ent. Set out those warning before the movie ever screened, but that said I don't think there was ever a press release.
Delta
Edit: Just check the encyclopedia and it wasn't bold so it hasn't been officially announced but you could infer that Bandai/Manga Ent has the rights.

That or we have psychics editing the encyclopedia. How does this person know who's starring in/producing an English dub?

They're assuming that Bandai and/or Manga are going to use the same cast and recording studio as the TV series which they own the license to as well. It's hard to see why they would change the cast after a solid performance for both seasons of the TV series and the second movie.
Anyways, count me in. At last, something good comes to the tri-state area. Anyone else in the area going?

That's the thing though. For the GitS 2 dub for Manga UK, they didn't. That was produced at Richard Epcar's company, Epcar Entertainment, and Firehouse recorded it. Animaze has pretty much exited the anime ADR industry and is sticking to video games.

Well, unlike Innocence, at least Bandai appears to have the license for Region 1 and they have no problem procuring an English dub.
And if Animaze does decide to back out, Bandai still have Bang Zoom! Entertainment and STUDIOPOLIS to go to so the cast can remain the same. That is unless there are many contractual problems which would prevent this.
