About a few years ago there aired a few episodes of an anime series on Animidnight, encore channels i believe. The basic synopsis as i recall involved children being recruited from Earth to live and train on a spaceship (in mechs of somesort) with the possibility of them being 1 of 5 pilots to pilot the "badass" mechs. The enemies in space looked something like space snakes or something and were usually CG. I also remember that the main pilot was a girl with like silver hair, rather young and was considered a prodigy at it. The main character was a young male with a rival of the same age. The pilots of the primary had some genetic trait that separated them from the rest and allowed them to operate the mechs. The pilot entered the mech thru the chest region of the mech and crossed a barrier of somesort and was contained in a "bubble" of somesort as the cockpit. If anyone can name that series for i would most appreciative. Thank you in advance.
