so it looks like they're using the actual japanese intros now. that's something i never thought i'd see on Toonami.(besides Bobobo) hopefully this becomes a regular practice now.

Not only that, but it's extremely naughty tonight! This might be the funniest episode they've aired in America so far!

MELONS!

It seems as though Naruto is taking its first few on the road to recovery. I doubt that this will change the minds of many of the hardcore Naruto fans out there, in regards to the Eng dub. Although I wonder what the reaction will be for the newcomers to the series? Still it is good to see that they have been trying to fix some of their mistakes.

The new opening is a mix of the second and third openings of the Japanese version with the second opening's music right? I wasn't completely sure until the very end where it shows Naruto stand up. It's interesting that they've decided the start using the full openings (or at least the full music with openings put together).

I noticed that too. Except they put some different scenes in that intro.

But they haven't made any mistakes.

And from what I've heard (or at least seen on NarutoFan), a lot of the Narutards respect, if not like, the dub simply for the fact that it turned out better than we all expected. I know some people who loathe dubs, but say that even though some of the voices are off, they still like it simply for the fact that Al Kahn didn't get his grimy paws on it.

And I missed tonight's episode. I heard this Jiraiya guy's a pervert.

Viz (or Toonami) is only doing this for Naruto and Bobobo. They treat Zatch Bell the way 4Kids would treat it (well, not quite as bad, but almost).

Question for the Naruto fans. They are calling this the 3rd season opening. So that leads to my question. How many episodes belong to each season of a long anime series? I thought it was usually 13 or 26 per season, but I think it works differently for long series.

Also, where have Asian Kung Fu Generation sung for a recent CN anime? I know I have heard them before.

They did Rewrite which is the 4th Fullmetal Alchemist opening, which is the only other opening Adult Swim aired besides Ready Steady Go.

I'm actually glad they did this, their excluding the crappy intros. I know some of you guys may actually have liked the 1st and 3rd intros but really, think about it from Cartoon Network's point of view. The 1st intro is kinda sleepy. It doesn't have a whole lot of energy that the show itself has and that itself could turn away viewers. Intro 3 is freakin annoying! That high pitched voice, dear god. Their probably only picking the intro's that they think will get the best/most viewers. This makes me believe that they'll have the 4th song GO on. I really hope so.

Yeah, I really loved that they used the (sort of) original Japanese opening. Now all we need is for them to use some of the Japanese endings, like Ryuusei and Viva Rock. Wink

I was hoping they would do that once they played the new opening. Too bad it was the normal credits with the pictures. That was slightly disappointing, but at least there is the new opening.

A TV season in Japan is 13 episodes. Anime fans tend to consider a season to be 26 episodes because that's typically how often the opening gets changed.
