I've been using Mozilla Firefox to access ANN steadily for the past year or more, but suddenly starting this evening I keep getting "400 Bad Request" errors whenever I try to access ANN with that browser. IE seems to have no problems, however.
The rest of the error message goes: "Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. Cookie: WIDYMD=#8868:FI^#; FRQSTR=19325423x140381:1:27x133239:3:5x133237:3:5x114158:3:5x113965:3:5x113947:3:5x111282:3:5x111274" |

I'm using Firefox and haven't had that problem. Could it be something other than the browser?

I don't know about the other FireFox users, but I see some goofy things on mine. Gaint white bars when I have unread topics with pages and a hard to read normal users names in the right "Online Stats" bar. At first I thought Dan was still working on the fixing it up, but it still happens.

What does my cookies have do hugh white bars under new topics with page numbers? It sounds more like a skin issue then a cookie issue. Besides, this has became an issue until the board changes.
They're not there now, but the users name to the right are still pretty hard to read. ADD ON:  Confused. Ignore the first part.

Hmmm, that did solve that problem. Still getting some irregularities in site performance, but I suspect that's an entirely unrelated issue. |

Hey folks,
I'm suspecting this might be related to ads. Next time you have this problem, could you check what ad(s) are being displayed in the banner & rectangle spot ? You can copy the information from the bottom of the page, ie: Ads by FUNimation Entertainment (7617) & [System] (2) -t |

As I mentioned before: it's most likely to be that Tales of the Abyss ad. Screencap
Negative. The page wouldn't load that information, which is located at the bottom. |

It is indeed the Tales of the Abyss add. Ever since I've started watching for what ads correspond to irregularities it's been the one constant. I've noticed that while the upper right corner ad will only muck with topic tables, the central banner ad will stop the page load entirely.
A refresh of the page will clear these problems, however, regardless of what ads appear upon refresh (I actually got the TotA banner twice in a row but the second time it didn't do anything). EDIT: Okay, strike a lot of that. A right corner ad killed the load and a refresh that drew them both didn't help. >_> |

I have to say that the new version of phpBB was buggy enough (especially the lacking of new post feature), and this TotA ad makes me feel "it never rains but pours."
Addendum: I also tried using IE and it has a slightly different effect: lower part of the page wouldn't load, but neither would the ad: Screencap |

I've been having ton of trouble with the forum pages not loading properly. Especially after a post the option page that asks you where you wish to go doesn't load including the sidebars and I have to go a roundabout way to get into the forums again.
These issues most evident for me in the Anime forum. Although, they all load without the left sidebar section sometimes. Is any of this part of the new add issue? |

Same here, I still have a lot of loading problems even when I try to go to the main website....I believe the issue has to do with the new ads...I think. Here it is....from the newsfeed.
So at least I think that what the problem is with the sidebars not loading or often times overloading of forums....meaning the pages' text fall over the sidebars. |

Yep, the Tales of the Abyss ad that goes across the top of the screen inthe center is still messing up the window.
Also, in spite of a very brief 20 minutes, all of the old posts are still showing new for me. (I think the 20 minutes was due to the fact I very lazily left my browser open all night. ) |
